I received a call from this number on a sunday afternoon,
Saying, This is James from UPS,  we will be delivering a package on monday between 9-11am, I asked him
some questions, I said you call on sunday, he said yes, we want to be sure someone is home.
When u call the number back, it goes to a dial tone,
I called to report this number to  Telephone CO, so be aware !!

Found out this is a pre- empt for housebreaks !
so be aware, I called Ups fraud, FBI and Federal trade commish-  this 866 number is phony !
if they call you, call your local Police , and the Federal Trade Commish. to file a complaint on this number.

UPS and FED EX WILL NOT call you to advise of a package delivery !

Erik - These Einsteins have been coming at me for 2 months as I write this. Today they used this very number for a hang up call, trying to gauge my presence at home. Yesterday they used it to call my cell. They called from 877-365-7711 & said they're from 'Package Express' ~8 weeks ago on a

Oops - My note was cut in the middle. They used an 866 back then on the same afternoon & left a "tracking number" that an automated system responded to in the process. The police were here for a detailed report, and each time I touch base with the FBI. If you're a target shooter and home defense enthusiast like me, follow police advice and step up your combat training. I'm now playing some games with phone callers I don't know - frankly, I'm now looking forward to meeting them.  ;-)

Just looking in on what I wrote here yesterday, from my cell phone. I will paste a copy of my more complete note to you on another site I just found you and this number on:

Erik -- where (approximately) are you located? I'm guessing that you're not too far from me -- I'm in Upper Westchester, NY. These lowlife morons are a burglary crew operating in (at least), my area. They used this number as well as (877) 365-7711 to try to find me NOT at home and in that process, they've assumed false identities as workers from 'Package Express' (similarly to that which they tried on you), as well as calling and hanging up when I answer. The last attempt they made was from their truck, parked in front of my house wherein as I said, they hung up when I answered the phone. As well, I'm pretty sure they came on my property in late March masquerading as Jehova's Witnesses who wandered about for 2 minutes (without ringing the doorbell), to scope out the house. They then drove off in a Subaru WRX. That occurred 1 hour and 45 minutes before they started calling me with the 'Package Express' ploy.

I've made out 2 police reports, and 2 friends I have on my local police force are now looking closely at Subarus and watching for trucks and cars parked on the side of roads in this area. I've contacted the FBI twice -- they're taking an interest, and per their suggestions, I'm installing a second alarm system with high quality video surveillance that will store both at home and remotely. I already have a centrally monitored system that can't be tampered with as it's based on radio links and cellphone system connections with units scattered and hidden throughout my house. It operates for 2 days without AC power, while the sensors operate for 5 years on lithium batteries.

Point is, keep up your guard and communicate with police and if you'd like to, with me here. I'll look back to see if you've replied.

Hi Paul, Im in Rhode Island, next to Mass border, I found out , there more of a fishing on line , getting  your # from something I bought on line, my cell. isnt even in my name, but i had put it on line when i bought stuff
they had my name and ADD.
As for my residence, good luck, to them, A; we have a German Sherpard, always will. and we have Inlaw here 24/7
Also, if they get in, were 1 month away from poor house- we have nothing to take lol
I did report the 866 # to Fed trade commision , as FBI advised, they are the ones that will. investigate the #
