- Briansame experience, different phone numbers: a man says, "Is Eric there?" I say, "you must have the wrong number." He says that's o.k., then goes into his schtick about donations for some police benevolence fund. Every . . . single . . . time. (And it's always "Eric.")

- Lucy9.6.18 @ 11:59 AM-- "Chicago IL" (872-588-1913)-- Caller hung up when call was picked up by answering machine; so most likely a SCAMMER using a spoofed name and number, since the ENTIRE city of Chicago would NOT be calling~ LOL!!! Plus, a LEGITIMATE caller would have an appropriate name on the Caller ID, and would leave a message and a call back number. NEVER answer these types of calls-- better safe, than sorry!

- Hugo Reyes replies to Elll| 3 repliesCharity call, not illegal, still had 7 minutes to go. No such thing as "business hours".
- FemmeAppeal replies to Hugo Reyes| 2 repliesSometimes I feel like people need to give themselves permission to be bothered or annoyed, without the annoyance having to be immoral, inconsiderate or just generally in the wrong.
Though admittedly, if they could get that notion embedded they'd also have to then admit that everyone who says they're bothered or annoyed, but who doesn't provide incontrovertible proof that the annoyance broken enough actual rules to justify that person whinging about it, is still entitled to said whinges now and again. - Alex Wilder replies to FemmeAppeal| 1 replyHuh?
- Seanasked for Debra. when you say wrong number, he says well perhaps you can help me....I've had this call before so I remembered quickly. I started yelling at him for knowingly spamming me. He hung up. It was fun going off on him, knowing he had no clue who he called.
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- MPolice said they have absolutely no charity of any kind, they are all scams, they are trying to catch them. I once got home number of one local to "call back" and gave to police. They were very happy, had been trying catch long time.
Same with firemen no such charity of any kind. Once had a nasty firemen's ball type call that said if I didn't donate they wouldn't come if had a fire. Can just imagine all the gullible people.- Caller: Chicago IL
- Call type: Unwanted
- FemmeAppeal replies to Alex WilderReferring to above, where Elll couldn't just be annoyed at the fact she got an unsolicited call, she had to invent reasons why it's supposedly illegal or vastly more immoral than any other unsolicited call. Reasons which, as Hugo pointed out, are mostly invented by Elll him/herself.
Sometimes people want so badly for something to be morally reprehensible, that they invent excuses to label already bad behavior much worse, so they feel extra justified in pissing a fit about it.
