Just got a call from Jamaica saying I won the Publisher's Clearninghouse prize of $2.5 million dollars, a consolation prize of $100,000 and a 2015 Mercedes S class car with free gas and free insurance from All State for a year. They weren't supposed to call me because i was supposed to call them to claim the prize. I have to pay a $299 fee for the government to know I won the prize. i asked why the money for the IRS didn't come directly from the prize winnings as all prize money is supposed to be handled. He said the money was not for taxes but for the government. I asked when the Publisher's Claeringhouse started working in Jamaica. He said he wan't in Jamaica but Las Vegas and there must be something wrong with my phone. I stated that the area code was from Jamaica. He indicated that he needed to call me back in 5 minutes. Don't think I will get that second call.

Some area codes are not toll-free numbers and calls from any other area code are billed at international long distance rates.

Some curious people return the call and will immediately be charged $19.95 for an international call fee and an additional $9-per-minute charge, according to a news release from the BBB.
