My mom got two phone calls within 10 minutes of each other today 1/20/2014 from 876-278-9946.  He said his name was David Miller and she had won 1.5 million dollars. gave me an address in Washington, D.C. and a registered winning #. Wanted to know a bank and how much was in her account so the IRS wouldn't tax her.  I got all the info and call the police.  The second guy said his name was Michael Butterfield and he couldn't speak English well enough to give me an address.  These calls were to Mississippi, so WATCH out folks.

This guy said he was Jerry David Jabeonski a attorney and that I needs to call his of at 876-278-9946. Please return my phone call. What is scary is that he called my cell number!

You can block the entire area code 876 from your cellphone by downloading an app called Mr Number

Just got a call from this number. He said his name was Paul Wilson, attorney, and that I need to call him as soon as possible. Not calling back after reading these messages... He called my cell also.

This number called my cell phone on Aug 29, 2014 and the guy claimed that I had won 2.5 million from the Bank of America sweepstakes and that he was from the American Legion. He asked me if I'd like to recieve the check. I asked him if he even knew what my name was to make sure he didn't already have personal information about me and than he got mad and said "That doesn't matter, do you want the check or not!?" It was almost comical how bad this guy was at scamming lol sounded like a frat guy.

Got acall fron this number on 8/7/2014. Said is a attorney  and won 3.9 million in a bank of america sweepstakes. Called twice in one day

Things to believe:

• There ain't no such thing as a free lunch.
• If it sounds (or looks) too good to be true, it probably is.
• You have not won big bucks from a benign benefactor, a pot of pesos from PCH, dinero from a doctor, or a grant from a gracious government     <<<<<<<<<<<<
• The tooth fairy really does not exist
• Everything you read on the internet is not necessarily true.
• It is illegal to ask for money for a loan or prize, before awarding the loan or prize!
• "Free Trips" are loaded with mandatory & costly extras, and you usually must give them your card number after listening to a loooong spiel at a hotel.
• Microsoft or one of their agents did NOT cold call you to fix your computer.
• The moon is not made of green cheese.
• The IRS will snailmail you, rather than phone you, if there is a problem.
• Jackalope milk is not an aphrodisiac.
• If you "green dot", MoneyGram or Western Union money to a scammer, the money is gone.
• You should beware of Greeks bearing gifts, specially if the gift is a wooden horse with termites.
