Scam call

This person, Jame Carter called me saying I had a package he wanted to delivered to me, for me to sign for it. Gave me this number to call 1-876-282-7166. Told me to ask for Ben White.

DO NOT CALL THAT NUMBER BACK!

1) The call was from a scammer, trying to entice you to send money
2) If you return the call, it will cost you money!  (Keep reading)
3) The 876 (Island of Jamaica) prefix is VERY frequently used by scammers, and WILL cost you money if you call it back and don't have free international calling.
4) Some folks think all 8xx area codes are "toll free".  That is NOT true!  Scroll down for more 8xx numbers that will be charged at long distance rates.

Some area codes are not toll-free numbers and calls from any other area code are billed at international long distance rates.

Some curious people return the call and will immediately be charged $19.95 for an international call fee and an additional $9-per-minute charge, according to a news release from the BBB.

Total scam.  Area code 876 = Jamaica = scam.

DO NOT return the call.  It is international long distance to Jamaica!!  There is NO package.
