S C A M !!!!   On yesterday (5/24/2011) I received a call from Jamaica (876-404-9721)  a Mr. John Miller of "The American Cash Awards Sweepstakes and Lottery Company" supposedly located in Rochester, NY (later in our conversation in Syracuse,NY) saying "You have received the 1st Place Award of $2.8M and a 2011 Mercedes.  The requirements are:  (1) go to a nearby CVS, Walmart, Kmart or 7-11 and purchase a paper Green Dot Money Pak Reload Pay Per Card for $155.00 (this is for 1% of the taxes);  (2) I will call you in an hour;    (3) you will give me the numbers on the back of the card and the processing will begin and (4) you are not to tell anyone about this for security reasons."  About a half  hour later I called the number back and got a recording "we're sorry, calls to this area are blocked - wa005". Now I know this is a SCAM.  About 45 min. later I receive a call from him on this same number checking to see if I has followed through. I told him I had tried to call because I had some other questions regarding this transaction but could not make contact; how can you be reached?  I was quoted the same number I had redialed from my phone.  When will I receive my prizes and how? " We drove down from NY on yesterday and are about 2 hrs. from you at the Holiday Inn in Potomac, MD."  Well, Potomac is only about 1/2 hr. and there is no Holiday Inn there.  He got upset with me and said, "You are going to lose your prizes."  I told him to give them to someone he felt was more deserving than I.  
Would you believe he called my number this morning asking for my grand-daughter (under a different name (Mr. David Flemming, Pres.; Claims Dept., Las Vegas, NV; 1-876-290-9012). Same company; same prizes but $2.5M, 2011 Mercedes and $160,000 in cash. Go to WalMart and get a $275 money- gram; send it to Mr. David Merkl, 2835 North Oak Arbor St., Oak Arbor, WA 98277.  The Company Code is "Navy Blue".  Mr. Bill Brown, Gen. Mgr. and Mr. Glen. Washington, Sec. will be making the delivery around 2:45 pm today.  I told him who I was and he denied ever talking to me but said that because she doesn't live here any more (10 yrs.)  it can be transferred into my name - what a joke!  I would get a Sr. Cit  rate of $135.  He called back but I didn't answer the phone.

I received a voice mail today 9-22-2011, from American Cash Award Claims Dept.  A Mr. Charles Zimmerman  left me a message saying that I was awarded $3.5million and a brand new Mercedes! Hmmm imagine that!  I was to call back at 876-290-9012 to find out on how to go about "clearing" the  package.  Ask me if I am returning the call....NOT!  I thought I was on the do not call list.........
