Told me he was from publishers clearing house. I said really, didn't know it was located in Jamaica. He said I am not calling from Jamaica. I interrupted him and said  BS, my phone says your calling from Kingston, Surrey County, Jamaica. He hung up on me. I am sure I won some money and if I just give them my SS number and bank info they would send it right away. Which would not of happened anyway.

Did not get as far as to tell me why they were calling, but started off sounding like a telemarketer call. I said they had the wrong number, as I didn't know anyone in Jamaica. They hung up before I had finished speaking.

not a telemarketing call since nothing is being sold. You should read the post you replied to before you end up with victim of a crime after your name.

Called, husband answered, wanted a man named  ssadder, person stated he had right number

Said from publishers clearing house. I told the man to mail me a check and hung up. I'm waiting on my big check to arrive any day now.

Caller spoke with a foreign accent and said I had won 3rd place in Publishers' Clearing House contest for 2020-2021.  Never mentioned my name just cell phone number.  I asked him a few more questions - found out I just had to send $85 and I would be a winner.  I told him to sent the money to someone else.  I didn't have $85 to waste.  I have asked AT&T to do something about these scam calls.  They said they couldn't but I could sign with their call blocker service for a fee.  Bottom line - AT&T doesn't care as long as they get their money.

He called and said “This is John Cooper from publisher’s clearing house and I was selected for $900,000 and a brand new Tahoe.  When I asked who he was calling he said it was based on my number.  I said I thought you sho up at the house.   He said, “We do after the call.” Then hung up. He said “This is John Cooper!”  At least 10 times and sounded like a dumb cartoon character.
