The lovely Philip called my cell phone and told me that I had won some cash and awards.  Very exciting.  I thought it was strange that he kind of sounded like he was using a "Steven Hawking"-type voice simulator, but he might have just been embarrased by any accent he might have had.  He said that UPS is going to stop by with a check for $3.5 million.  Also, there was some talk of a Mercedes in any colour I wanted.  I distinctly heard some roosters crowing in the background and asked Phil if there were any roosters near by.  Turns out it was the people in his office getting my prizes together.  Phew.  Anyhoo...he politely noted that the local government had picked up 99% of the taxes due on this big win and that all I had to do was pay the remaining 1% - $430.  Simply enough, I just needed to go to Western Union and send the money to an address in Hanover, Jamaica (I lied to Philip when I told him that I was writing down his information - I feel shame).  I then asked Phil if I could have the check delivered to me at work, so that I could brag to my friends...he was non committal.  Said that he would have to check with his supervisors.  Stupid red tape.  I asked Phil for his phone number and he gave me 1-876-340-4371.  I then asked Phil if people really fell for these types of things (I kinda expected him to hang up) but he said that people win these prizes all the time, so I immediately felt better.  As for the colour of the Mercedes, I told him that I would like it to be pink so that I could gift it to my wife.  He saw no problem with this.  She is going to be so excited.

I received a call from Mr. Philip today, stating that I had won $2.5 million dollars.

I took his information down, claiming i was in a meeting, and I "googled" the phone # to arrive at this site

I knew that it was a scam, but i'm glad people are documenting their experiences.

He called with an international number showing up on my display:  011 _________________

I received a phone call from Mr. Phillips from this number. He said I had win a raffle for over $500,000 and my prize would be delivered today. I recognized this as a scam right away so I just hung up and googled the phone number.

Well guys, Jim Kingston has been calling my grandmother all day. Yesterday too. Literally 40x a day. She gave him hope n now he don't stop calling. At one point today he called 27 straight times, back to back to back. I finally answered the phone tonight (9:08 pm). Upon hearing a man's voice n not the voice of an elderly woman, he hung up. Shocking. Same story though,  $2.5M, but had to send $299 via western union and 2 guys would delivery her check today at 1:30pm lmao
I'll update if "Jim" calls again

Your post made my day!  You have a terrific sense of humor.   I got a call from this number, and like the call you received, it was a synthesized voice.

I just got a call from 8763402147. I ignored it because i figure they were a scammer. Never in my life have i even gotten 2 calls back to back like i did so i humored them and answer. I said hello and at first did make out what they said and so i said "im sorry who is this" they then told me some bs name and that they were with the publishers clearing house and if i was familiar with them. And I said ya ive heard of them. And hes like "im calling to let you know you won! You were the second place winner" and i was just like uh huh. And he says in his horrible cowboy accent "how do you feel about winning" and i told him suspicious. And he said something about paying and i hung up.

How would i win anything if ive never entered lmao

Got a call from the scammer(who I could hardly understand) telling me I won 2.5 million but would have to send them $2500 to release my winnings!  Knew this was a scam but I played along.  Told him I didn’t have that large amount and he asked what I could pay.  What a jerk.  Told him I thought it was illegal and not to call me again.  He tried his best to get some amount of money from me.  We’ll see if he tries again.
