A message for my youngest son who is 35 and has not lived with me since 1996, was left on my home phone  at 7:48 am this morning. The man identified himself as David Lopez and said he was calling from the U.S. Customs Office...there was a lot of static on the line and it was a deep voice who was leaving the message, telling him to return his call as soon as possible.  The number came up on the call display as a call from Jamaica.  I don't know this man and I am not aware of my son traveling at this time outside of Canada.  It was just very strange and at the same time alarming.

I just got a call saying I had won $3,500,000.00 and all I had to do was send him $1,200.00 to exchange Australian money into American money. When I told him to just take the money out of the money I had won he said that wasn't possible. Then my mother called him back from the house phone to see if she could find out where he was or who he was and she acted as if she knew him and that's when he said he still needed money to move. I wanted to let someone know about this but it looks as though you are already aware. But if you're not, the number is (876)381-1554. I am worried about someone like my grandmother getting a call like this and falling for it. So someone needs to check this guy out. He has an accent from somewhere, good luck, Donna Dean

1> NEVER call them back! 876 is NOT a toll-free number, its International to Kingston, Jamaica.
2> DO NOT give them ANY information! IF you give them anything, give completely BOGUS info.
3> Answer a question with a question, drives them crazy!
4> Google "Operation JOLT" "876 SCAMS" "JAMAICAN SCAMS"

It was from Kingston, Jamaica and was BAD NEWS calling you!
