These people called and said they were out of Houston, with Micro Awards and said we had won $850,000.00 and a 2013 Mercedes car. Wanted to know where they could send it and that they represented Publishers Clearing House and they represented CVS Pharmacy, Wal Mart, Walgreens Drug, Target. We would only have to pay 1%, or $250.03. To go to the nearest one to us and purchase a Green Money Pack card for the $250.03. They would be at our home within the hour to receive the card and give us out check for the $850,000.00. Didn't know Publishers Clearing House operated in this way. Told them by! The gentleman on the phone had a very thick accent and wanted to know too much information!

Got the same call, said the were from anchorage ak. I didn't bother hearing most of his spill. Told him I hadn't entered in anything and bye...

James Anderson and that he was calling from San Francisco.  He said he was from Windstar Enterprise and I had won second prize.  I asked him if he had a number I could call him back at and it was the same number that had registered on the incoming display.  876-381-3310. We hung up.  I did not call back.

Why would anybody route a call from San Francisco through Jamaica (area code 876)?

Just received a call on this number. It was picked up by voicemail as I am trying to save my elderly, defiant mother from being scammed to death. The woman didn't realize she was being recorded and I heard her saying, "I can't get anyone on the phone," in of course, a Jamaican accent. I tried to selective block the number by utilizing *60 and lately, I've noticed this no longer works. Sounds like the phone companies need to update their algorithms so that the feature we pay for monthly actually *&^%$#^ works.
