i am starting to get a lot of these calls from Jamica...luckily when ever my phone rings it displays on my TV .... so i do not answer them

they are all scam artists!!  stay away from these area codes

My Mom is 87 years old and lives in a senior citizens community.  She has a lovely apartment and feels very secure there.  She started getting calls from 876 area code and answered the first call.  She was told that she won a Mercedes and 2 million dollars and that she should meet them at the nearest walmart because they had a package for her.  She quickly hung up and called me.  She is now having anxiety and feelings of insecurity.  She is getting 3-4 calls a day from these people.  They must be stopped!!! If these calls are coming from Jamacia, why can't they be caught?

It is definitely a scam.  The caller claims you won 2.5 million (or some other large amount), and then asked for personal info, and directs you to send a $2500 fee to claim your "winnings".  DO NOT CALL THEM BACK !!!  Besides trying to get your hard-earned cash, they will charge your phone a fee (up to $10,000 per minute) while they keep you on the line.

these people are asking for money when I told them to stop calling I was told that I had no idea who I was talking to. that the fbi would be visiting me. please make them stop

If your caller is trying to extort money like this You  owe a bad debt etc and will be arrested, you might also want to file with the FBI,State Attorney General and DOJ..
