I received a call from this number. They told me I won $2.5millon and a Mercedes car. I told them I was at work and he asked if I could go home and call them back so they could talk to me longer. He told me he was a man of his word and man of God and promised he wasn't lying.  I was going to call him back on my lunch break untily coworkers informed me on this scam. His name was "Robert Benard" he told me my check was in a city about an hour from my location. I signed up for publisher clearing house awhile back so I thought I may have won. Don't fall for this! I'm pretty sure he was going to get me to wire him money for the taxes or something. I also had trouble understanding him from his thick accent.

As the lady stated above, this just happened to my father and thank god I read it! publishers clearing house would just show up in their van or lesser prizes are mailed! DO NOT EVEN entertain this man!

I got this same call from a man at this number saying I had won 2.5 million and a Mercedes from Publisher's Clearing house.

I also got a call from 876 stating that i had won money and a car.  number was 876-532-7590

We got the same call today 6-10-2014 from (876)528-8490, It is a fraud I call the F.B.I. and the F.T.C.to report it maybe someone will go to prison.( hopefully)

Just received the same phone call..did not believe and hung up...best to do this.

July 2 - I received a call on my cell from this number with the same spill that I had won Publisher's Clearing House with 2.5 million and a Mercedes. From the beginning I was suspicious. I finally frustrated the man, Robert Bernard, when I would not give him my name. Definitely this scam needs to be stopped!!!!

I just got a call from this number and same man and was told same thing. Told him why call me I didn't 't sign up with clearing house.   He hung up. I blocked him on my phone.  

Got a call yesterday, didn't answer. No voice-mail. Thought it might have been a realtor calling me back but I was in class. Glad I didn't answer. Ninja I'm lucky enough to win a couple million and a car!

I just got call from Robert Bernard at 876-528-8490 that i won $950000 & mercedes too! Said i was on way out for kids...once asked me for their ages, knew not right.  Told me to call him back...not happening! Hate these phone scams...especially poor people who fall prey.

Received a call from said Robert Bernard. He said I had one $950,000 and a 2014 Mercedes-Benz when I asked him if he even knew what my name was he hung up on me. He also said he was from the publishers clearinghouse the number is 876528490. I hope someone knows how to report this and stop this skam. He is dumb and unoriginal to continue to use the same name in each scam.

I received this same call it's a scam don't answer my story was similar to the others he said he was going to put a lawsuit on me after I told him I was reporting him to FBI

Yep just got off the phone with him.  Wow it would have only cost me $299.00 dollars.

I got the same call today, didn't answer it.  Good thing I always do a search on numbers not recognized!

Just (5 mins ago) got off the phone with Robert Bernard.  The "prize" was $950,000 and a Mercedes.  The "pick up" fee was $495 to send through Western Union.  The funny thing is he didn't have my name!  And I wouldn't give it saying he should have it.  And then he hung up abruptly.

Obviously a phisherman.

I got a call on 6/11/2015 at 10:40 am PT. It it was Robert Bernard, as stated in comments above. It's a scam, warn your parents if they are elderly to not get scammed.

876 is the area code for Jamaica - see the top right of this section of the webpage (not the sidebar).

NEVER call these numbers back. Your phone account will be charged an international dialing fee, and as this is another country, the called number could also impose a per-minute charge the same way 900-numbers do in the US without warning you.

They are basically trying to run two scams at the same time, the lure of the prize-that-does-not-exist, as well as hoping people will call back later if they are not available to answer.
