Scam, Said I had one $ 500,000 and a brand new Mercedes. Asked me if I had ever shopped at Walmart, Kmart etc. I told him not to call back.

Got same message as Kirk... on my cell phone.  I don't think the guy from Jamaica will ever call back.  Have received emails with such messages as well...yep...SCAMS!!!!!

Yep, scam! The guy called 2 days in a row. He told me that I was the lucky second place winner of a brand new mercedes and $350,000.00, all I had to do was go to walmart, purchase a special type of gift card and put $299.00 on it. The guy said that the $299.00 was for the shipping cost of bringing me the $350,000.00 check and the car. After I purchased that card, I was told to call him back and provide him with the numbers on the card.
Even after I told the guy that I was a Law Enforcement Officer (which I am actually) and that I was looking into this, he stopped me and said " Jeff, the Lord has blessed you, we will be at your residence at 5:00 today with your prizes." SCAM!!!!!

I've also received calls from this guy! He says his name is John Washington and I was randomly selected to win $ 550,000 & a 2011 Mercedes all I had to do to claim my prize was western union $ 499.00 to a guy named O'Neil Wellington in Newport, Jamaica. UPS would be delivering my package with a certified check and my car, they were also going to have the car insured and provide me with a shell gift card so I wouldn't have to buy gas for a year!! Haha

I got a call today from this John Washington guy too.  He told me I had won 2nd place in the Winstar Casino and Resort giveaway and I would receive $250,000 and a brand new Mercedes.  He even asked me to pick between a black convertible and a white coup.  He didn't ask me to buy anything or wire any money.  Just wanted my name and address so they could come deliver the car and a certified check... Total scam

I just got the same call from john. Telling me to go to western union.

people out, n it was a reward. gave him a big,

long string of #s n made him repeat it back- also gave him a name plus

city n state n insisted he repeat it back 2 him- said they'd be

delivering a brand-new top-of-the-line mercedes

benz convertible, class c, 2 MY HOUSE, because my

best friend gave the guy MY ADDRESS! instead of

his own. my friend was told that taxes, tags n

insurance would be paid up on the mercedes, plus

there would also be a $500,000 check...the only

tangible info my friend gave him, was my street

address. he wasn't asked anything about bank-

debit-credit info.

What you had on the end of that line was a dirty,black "Chimpanzee" dressed in filthy shorts and a ripped up wifebeater shirt. He was sitting in a small leanto with chickens/roosters running around (you can usually HEAR them in the background).His "Computer" was a "Etch-A-Scetch" that he was looking up your info on.
They DO use "MagicJacks" registered so they LOOK like they are in 702 (vegas) 775(reno) 305(florida) 256(alabama) and a few others....
BE SMART! ask yourself who in their right mind would hire someone that SOUNDS like these Dingbats?

Record the calls! Great for parties! when you tell them you are recording them they WILL go away!
Use fake names like Joe Namith, Joe Biden,Burt Reynolds..they have no idea who they are!!!
Use a fake address, vacant lot, abandoned building, police station..you get the idea :)
WASTE THEIR TIME!!!! this is a big one :) hahaha ask them to repeat themselves over and over
BELITTLE THEM! this is fun!! ask if they are married, if single do they masturbate,ask are you stupid?
Pretend like you can't hear them! (most of the time this is real)
String them along for DAYS! tell them you want to send them a check and get their mailing address
Tell them your problems HAHAHA..this is FUN!!! call them "Buddy or Friend" just like they do!
I tell them all my friends have passed away, ask if he will be your new friend HAHAHAHA

My brother-in-law received a similar call from 876-382-2243. They said he won $10.5 million and a 2013 car. The guy said his name was John McCarthy with Winstar Enterprises. According to "John", my brother-in-law's name was drawn from some unidentified lottery. John actually claimed that the lottery was sponsored by the U.S. Goverment and the IRS (give me a break). His instructions were to go to Walgreen's and buy a gift card for $600. Upon doing that, John was going to show up with AAA (the company bringing the car) and UPS (the company bringing the money).

Thank goodness my brother-in-law didn't have the money. He asked us to borrow $500 and that's when we were able to help him identify the call as a scam.

A guy from "Publishers Clearing House" called from 876-310-8010 and said we had won the big prize if we would be home in 45 minutes they would deliver it. First we had to call 876-310-8010 and talk to Peter Ross at extension 5. They wanted me to give them a money card number or something. I pressed them with questions about where they were and why were they calling from Jamaica. They were flustered and it was like talking to a three ring circus

I received a call from a Frank Miller and was asked to contact a Peter Ross regarding a PCH package that was going to be delivered to my address. Everytime i hung up he called me back under a restricted number. SCAM!!!

Got a call from 876-549-0136 stating that I've won 9thousand and a gnc Denali and that i would need a green dot card with $200 on it.. Once I told him I had everything he hung up
