This person called me today and told me that I won 1.5 million dollars from Publishers Clearinghouse. He asked me to get a pencil and paper to take down some info.  I told him that it sounded fishy, so he cursed me out then hung up.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. A guy called and was slurring and mumbling and talking very slow, almost as if he was trying to cover up his voice. He also tells me I need to claim my $2.5 million dollars from the Publishers...(couldn't understand everything he said)
of course it was a scam, but when I started asking questions, he got frustrated and hung up. The conversation went as follows:
me: "so I am getting $2.5 million?
caller: "yes sir, are you home, on the road or at work"? And how do you want to claim your $2.5M?
me: "who are you trying to call"?
caller: "I am calling you sir."
me: "what is the name of the person you are trying to call"?
caller: "well what is your name?
me: chuckle "I suppose next you need my bank account info correct?"

Then he hung up

I too just received a call from this number.  When I told him it was my personal cell phone number and that I would appreciate him removing me from his list he very rudely interrupted and said that he would appreciate my listening to what he had to say.  I just hung up as I am at work and did not have time to deal with/argue with him.  But, here is the catch:  I decided out of curiosity to call the number back and low and behold guess who answered - the same guy that called me.  Now, if he were really with "Publishers Clearing House" what are the odds that the same guy would answer?  Very fishy to me!!!  Thinking about turning the number in to my local police department.

😖 NOOOOOOO!  You just got charged for an overseas call, possibly at premium rates above the usual cost of the call.  And because you called back deliberately, your cell phone provider does not have to, nor is it likely to refund the cost of your call, no matter how much it cost you.

I received two calls from this number today. I didn't answer the first call, they immediately called again. I answered, and a man responded and knew my name. I asked who I was speaking with and he claimed he was with Publishers Clearing and that he had a $1.5 million check for me. That's when I hung up.

Called on my personal cell while I was at work. I asked what he wanted and he mumbled something. I told him not to call me again and hung up. Obviously a con artist, and not a very good one.

Identified himself as Publishers Clearinghouse. I said -

'Dude, I'm sleeping'

he said -

'#uck you'

and hung up.

got a call from this number today noted as "discovery bay, Jamaica" answered out of curiosity, and a man with a sketchy voice says "hello" nobody I recognized, hung up and blocked the number. from looking on the Internet, sounds like a scam 😒 glad I hung up

Missed a call from this number, almost called back but figured I'd look up the area code as it isn't one I recognize... Jamaica? Luckily a quick search got me here and I won't be returning the call.

"You just won $25 million and a new car"
"I'm only 14 and I love getting scammed"
"Sir--sir--"
"(Some [***] about his [***] foreign accent)"
He then hung up on me I guess when I called him a [***].

Got a phone call from "David Johnson" extension 25 supposively with Publishers Clearing House.  Stated I won 2.5 Million. I was a little shocked so I asked for more info. He asked me the basic prying questions as to when I last entered PCH etc. He provided me with a check#, an IRS pin # and then told me I had to stay on the line with him as the delivery of the check was on its way to my house. Now mind you, he did not confirm my address.  While I had him on the line I went to Publishers Clearing Houses website.  It states "Publishers Clearing House (PCH) does NOT make or authorize outgoing calls to consumers to sell merchandise or magazines, or to solicit contest entries. Our major winners are notified by mail or in person (at our option) and we never phone ahead to disclose that someone has won a major prize", so I hung up and blocked the number.

Just called me and said I won 2.5 million and a car from PCH. When I told him I find that hard to believe since I never signed up he hung up instantly. Call come from discovery bay jm

David Johnson with brokened English a far cry from David Johnson stating I won 6 Million!!!! (Publisher's Clearing House) I was too busy to play his game so he. Called me 1st thing Monday morning yet it was a limited time that day!. I hung up due to work and now waiting to see if he calls tomorrow! I'm going to nail his scam! And share it legally!

The same this hapend to me today cursed me out and hung up.

Got the exact call from David Johnson Ext. 25 with Publishers Clearing House stating I had won $2.5 million and to go to Walgreen and await for instructions - he wanted me to pay $499 and they would deliver the money within 45 minutes - told him I did not have the $499 - and he wanted to know how much I could afford - all the while telling me how much he believed in Jesus Christ - after asking for the money I told him I was on chemo and did not have the money and told him once I received the money I would pay the fee - after that he said a few nasty words and I brought to his attention that I did not think Publisher Clearing House would be appreciative to their employee using such bad language - it is very interesting to see how they negotiate people - called from 1-876-820-5719, Ext. 25  I told him I did not believe Jesus Christ would be very happy with him and he really got nasty!!  Cannot believe they cannot find this person and put him away.

Not answering some stupid call from Jamaica...

It's the Publishers Clearing House scam and is indeed from Jamaica. (Advance fee scam). Blocking the 876 area code will take care of these vermin.

Just saw the number pop up this morning and did the usual "look up to see who from Jamaica might be calling me" and got this hit.  Guess it was David Johnson.

Same thing happened to my husband,  he sent him to Walgreens wanted him to send 299 via Western union..Lucky my hubby doesn't have any money. But is is elderly n he nearly fell for it. 2.5 million. Man's name was David Washington  gave hubs a winning Barcode #...crazy how they scam the elderly. ..
