Been calling my Mother who is in her 90's and telling her that she won 3.5 million dollars and that all she has to do is take a check to Wal-Mart or Walgreens and have them wire the money to them.  This is very upsetting for older people and so many of them fall for these scams and loose what little money they have to live on.  There should be some law were these people can be punished for this.  My Mother doesn't need this herrassment and nether does any other person. Also they call at all times of the day and evenings.

    not being sammed today
Talked to some guy who says his name is Robert Morgan from Jamaica New York.  Says he works for mega million and I won a Lincoln Navigator and 2.5 mill for paying my utility bill on time!  He said I needed to buy a green dot card for $250 dollars for when they deliver the prize.  The $250 is supposedly for the delivery fee!    They wanted my husband's name for the confirmation of the delivery.  I told him that he could get his name when they deliver....I told him they didn't need it then.  He wanted my husband's cell so he could get the info he needed.  I told  him if he gave me his number that I would have my husband call back.  He wasn't afraid to give his number.  I should have asked why a company is working from a cell phone!

I got a call today from a "Robert C. Morgan" attorney at law for the NY Lottery. He said that because I had paid my utility bill on time I had been entered into a drawing and won $2.5 million + a 2013 Mercedes Benz. What we have to do is go to Wal-Mart and purchase a Green Dot prepaid card - not the credit card but the scratch off. You can do this with cash so that the company cannot access your bank accounts. They say that the $155 is the delivery fee for the car and it's 110% refundable. The dealer won't deliver the car without the receipt code (which could be the card activation code) for all I know. My concern is that if I give this "Mr. Morgan" the code (who speaks with a heavy Jamaican accent) he could go online and spend the $155 without us ever knowing it until we went to use it ourselves. I told my husband to ask the cashier at Wal-Mart if just having the code is enough to spend the money or if the need to have the card itself - which I will not hand over until I see a brand new Mercedes in the driveway! What a scam. These fraudsters sure are getting creative.
