- Wishing for the 5 million...| 1 replyOn the phone to 876-854-7981. We will be receiving a new car AND a check! WooHoo! (LOL)
OBVIOUS SCAM.
Do NOT give your information to these folks... This is their 3rd call to us today. When they spoke with me earlier, they told me we won 5 million dollars.
Speaking with my husband, we won a GMC pick up truck and $8,000.
They want us to go to Walmart and get a money card.
Very complex line of BS. He goes on and on and on... Will be meeting us in person, yada, yada, yada... Coming in a private jet, etc.- Caller: Mega Box Millions
- TexasBobSaid we had a delivery coming today. Very hard to understand and rambled on and on. Just hung up on him... SCAMMER!!!
- Caller: Unknown
- Don| 1 replySCAM ALERT
Called early in the am and woke me up, said I had a certified check coming and they needed my info to set up the delivery. Refused to give me a Business name but did say I had won the lottery or something to that effect. When I asked where they were based out of he said Texas. I asked where in Texas, he replied our office is by the firehouse, You know where the Firehouse is? Yes?
I finally told him that I would have someone call him back as I was out of town. As I began trying to write down information, he got upset with me and said he would have to get his manager, but of course his manager was not there at the moment.
I finally told him I would check him out thru the police and FBI, so he hung up.
SCAM ALERT - Mike in MD replies to DonNow WHY would a caller from "Texas" be using a Jamaican number? Area Code 876 = Jamaica. Yes this is a SCAM. They claim you won a lottery or sweepstakes prize and need to pay a "processing fee" or some such to claim your prize. No legitimate contest requires you to pay a fee to obtain the prize. For major cash prizes, taxes are automatically deducted from the winnings. it is best to ignore all calls from the 876 Area Code.
- texasgirl| 1 replyCalled me claiming i had won and when he told me i needed to send them 500 told him no thanx. When he called back my boyfriend told him we arent interested.and he threatened him... Major bs dont fall for it!!
- TheToxicAvenger replies to texasgirlThese filthy, little animals have been particularly active the past few weeks and I have noticed an interesting trend. As the calls persist, the prize, that I supposedly have won, keeps increasing (from 2.5 million to 3.5 million to 10 million plus a car and a flat screen TV) but the [***] who are calling keep getting dumber! While the first rodent had some idea of my name (though he was not entirely correct,) this most recent SHLF (Sub Human Life Form,) who kept repeating "my prize would be there within the hour," did not even have my correct state address!
If you receive another call, be certain to record it, as this particular scam is now the target of a Federal investigation, using the code name, JOLT. - DoNotCallMyCellEVER!!What a SCAMMER. "Peter Anderson" with a thick accent claiming that he is part of the "Publishing Clearing House". Phone number 876-854-7981.
He was saying something about a Mercedes and a $2.5 million cash blah blah blah. All I had to do was go down to my local Walgreens/CVS/Walmart to purchase a $250 cash card of some sort.
He was rambling, hard to understand, and after my skepticism I told him I wasn't interested in some $2.5 million payout. Then he hung up on me.
What a waste of time, I wasn't expecting I would ever get a call like this on my cell phone when my phone is on the do not call registry list.
The only reason why I picked it up was because my brother recently did something to this phone where it come out BLOCKED. Never picking up a BLOCKED call again. Ugh
And the stupid thing is, he was asking for my cell phone number and he didn't know he was actually calling it.- Caller: "Peter Anderson" from "Publishing Clearing House"

- Robin| 1 replyPeter Anderson called my 90yr old grandmother saying he was with publishers clearing house and she won 5.8 million dollars and would bring it to her in 30minutes but she had to pay $500 for fees of course..thank God she called us first!! He said he was 30 min from her house, when asked where exactly he was he stated a town 4 hours away. When she told him she thought they just showed up at the door with the money he said normally they do but she had not sent back the letter so they had to do it this way..

- Kim FrazierI received a call from Mr. Peter Anderson claiming to be a representative from PCH with a reward of 3.5 million dollars and a 2018 Mercedes. He told me I needed to go send a Barbara Grolver $775 in taxes for my prizes to be released to me. Then went on to say it will be reimbursed when I started questioning why I had to pay or why it couldn’t come out of my winnings. It was a clear scam. The phone number that was used is 876-392-7588.

- Thomas J.Just like the posts previously listed, Mr. Peter Anderson with Publisher Clearing House called to announce that I had won 2.5 million dollars and a new vehicle. He was persistent that I needed to visit a Walmart, or nearest place with a Western Union, and place a deposit (of $341) for the winning certificate. Once I mentioned that I noticed other folks had reported this exact scenario as a scam, he hung up. For future reference for others, he called from 876-293-6080. He told me my winning confirmation number was 225009817. I hope this guy is caught and stopped.

- MikeGot a call from Peter Anderson from Publishers Clearing House. Was able to keep him on the line for over 8 minutes describing the 10.5 million +7,000/mo for 6 mos and the 2019 E Class Mercedes Benz that I had won. Had me write all of the info down and read it back to him. He then proudly announced that they were paying 99.9% of my taxes and all I would need to do is come up with $1420.00 for the remainder. When I said I wouldn't be paying it he hung up without saying a word.

- JD StillwaterNot sure if the number matches, but it's the exact same scam. "Peter Anderson" from "Publisher's Clearinghouse" says I won 3.5 mil; I just need to go to CVS or Walmart to buy a "vanilla gift card" for $399. Had me write down a bunch of info. When I hung up, he continued to call five more times, but never left a message.
