Caller said they were calling from Publisher's Clearing House and said they had a certified check for me they had attempted to deliver this afternoon. I wasn't home, so she asked me to call back tomorrow. I checked and found the number was a cell phone located in Kingston Jamaica.

I too received a call from this number saying they were from Publishers Clearing House with a certified check for 5 million dollars. I told them perhaps they would like to buy a bridge in Brooklyn from me and hung up.

I was so stupid and gullible. Now im 150.99 less than I was. The way It was planned was Just didn't seem fake.

Told me I had won 2.5 million, but i would need to pay a registration fee.
Obviously a scammer with a voice box. Said he worked for publishers clearing house.
Couldn't  even speak English correctly "axe" instead of ask!

I have received 2 phone calls from a Wm Cooper who was working hard to hide his accent.  He told me I won 2.5 million dollars, and I would have to register in order to receive it.  I told him to stop calling me or I would report the number.

Person by the name of Wiiliam Cooper, says he is from PCH, has called several times saying he has a check for me, but each time I try to question him on details, we conveniently get disconnected. My husband called the number back and got their voicemail. Proceeded to tell them they had better not call back again. I guess we will see if he does....

I too received call from this number and several times in past.
The call originate from area code 876 which is Jamaica (do not call back as it is a long distant call and may cost).  I have Ooma system, so added the number into the black list to stop this number automatically.  Few days later, again received call from area code 876 but with different last 7-digit number.   I was also told to go to CVS to register in order to claim my check.  I lied n told him that I m handicap n cant go out and he immediately hang up..Lol.

Now I just ignore all calls from area code 876.....

And two years later, yesterday 7/1/14, William Cooper from PCH left me a msg stating there was a check for me.........looked up the phone number, 876-877-0531, before attempting to return call. Glad to find this string.

I too received a phone call from a William Cooper at a Cellphone JM 876 number today stating he was from Publishers Clearing House on behalf of a Meckards Millions. When he was told I had no idea what he was talking about as I have not entered any sweepstakes in many years, he went on to tell me a check would be delivered this afternoon. I told him I knew this was a scam and he told me I would be very upset when I didn't receive my 1.25 million, it's a shame I'm angry, and proceeded to hang up on me. I called the number back and his voicemail picked up. I called Publishers Clearing House and while I was on hold with them he called back but was silent. I told him I would be reporting him and he spoke up. I hung up on him.

I too received a phone call from this number. Saying I had won 1.1 millon dollars.
Let me tell who ever is doing this. They need a job and they would not have time on  their hand
to call people with this mess.  A IDLE MIND IS A DEVIL WORK SHOP.

Same as above. He spoke very slowly and mechanically (not mr. roboto but weirdly stilted).
