Just received a call from Kingston, Jamaica from 876-892-2638.  Person representing the "Ameriprize" Company told me he represented Publishers Clearing House and I had won $250,000.00.  I was to go to Western Union and send a check to him for $399.00 to cover the taxes and handling charges BEFORE I would get the money.  He finally hung up when I told him I had worked for the IRS and would rather pay the HIGHER rate of 60-80% that the IRS would charge me for the money and I would take what was left.  Obviously, this caller uses multiple numbers and prize companies to scam people.

Just received a call from Kingston, Jamaica from 876-892-1093 Gentleman said I just won a New Range Rover and 1 Million Dollars that will be delivered today, of course I sad "really, how did I win this?" he said, (PCH) i oh really is that right I find this very hard to believe.... he said all you have to do is pay the shipping, i said really I have to pay for a vehicle to be shipped? I said go ahead drive it o my house! I will pay the gas! he hung up!

DO NOT CALL THAT NUMBER BACK!

1) The call was from a scammer, trying to entice you to send money
2) If you return the call, it will cost you money!  (Keep reading)
3) The 876 (Jamaica) prefix is VERY frequently used by scammers, and WILL cost you money if you call it back.

Some area codes are not toll-free numbers and calls from any other area code are billed at international long distance rates.

Some curious people return the call and will immediately be charged $19.95 for an international call fee and an additional $9-per-minute charge, according to a news release from the BBB.
