said i won a new car and 1.4 mill. Said his name was Ode Anderson based out of Jackson, MS. He said he had a team waiting to bring me a check and the car. He said all I needed was a greendot reload card from walmart and to put $799 on it to pay for taxes or fees of something. Guy spoke broken english and what sounded like a middle eastern accent. Scam!

Same thing as other posters. Claiming to be from some casino but sounded like he was standing outside. The phone number is from Jamaica.  SCAM!

This is not a toll free "800" number, it is the international long distance code for the island nation of Jamaica. You are charged international and long distance rates for calling this number. Other international/long distance area codes are 809, 284, and 649.

he called saying I won a new car. He had a Jamaican accent. He asked for personal info such as my address, etc. He wanted to come to my place and pick up my car and then I would win a new car... blah blah blah. total scam. I could hear the tv going in the background and told him I knew it was a scam. I asked him what my last name was and he didn't even know that so he hung up...
