called and I didn't answer, old scam new number

Did not respond based upon above notes, but then found it was CVS Caremark calling with a question about a prescription.

Concur, this is attributable to CareMark, but is an outdialer that 1) violates instructions placed by customer regarding automatic actions without prior concurrence and 2) attempts to gather information for further aggregation and marketing.  Use the sidebar search for "caremark" for more of the picture --->

answered the phone and they were already into the message, said cvs, ok . My name, ok. then asked my birthday. so I hung up.

this is a CVS/CAREMARK NUMBER

Said they were calling about an RX. Gave me a 7 digit number to call back. When I called, they asked for the 8 digit number. Would not accept the number they gave me. Called the number on my RX bottle instead.

It was legitimate, from CVS. They wanted me to know one of my prescriptions was out of refills so they were contacting my doctor for a new prescription.

That's the problem with the telephone industry. No one ever thought out to the logical conclusion what a bad idea allowing number spoofing is.  If you block the number, chances are you are not blocking the number the call actually came from.

Another casting call scam text message. This is the fourth I’ve received in as many days. I keep blocking the numbers, then another message comes from a different number.

I have not replied to any of the messages. They do not address me by name, and they do not identify the sender or their company.

When I answered a female said, "Is this xxxx? Just say yes or no.

Then why are you here? There is no logical reason for you to look up a known phone number.
