The number I am reporting was listed in a suspicious letter regarding renewing an auto extended warranty - which I don't have. The sender sent the letter addressed to my name and personal address. I did not receive a call, nor did I fall for calling the number. No company was listed other than "SSP". Very vague in information in the letter - no business name, No Vehicle ID that is supposed to be covered. Almost a threatening tone if renewal is not done before a certain date. Too many red flags. Very suspicious. I hope people are smart enough to avoid potential scams such as this.

We got the same letter as mentioned above with IMPORTANT-Vehicle Information on the outside envelope and Personal and Confidential” in the return address area.
It also had  2 small differences than in the one above…1) it said SSA rather than SSP…. And 2) it was sent to my wife who passed away several years ago, and didn’t own a car for many years.  These are obviously thieves & scammers .  The USPS, FTC or other authorities should pursue them & shut down &/or file criminal charges.

We received the same letter in the mail. The envelope said it was mailed from Zip Code 63376-but that post mark appears to be fake too.  No name of company on the letter. Just directing us to call the number. Definitely mail fraud.

I received letter as above today 8-9-21.  Thought I had been removed from mailing list previously regarding extended service protection on my car. This letter is from SSP with ZIP 63376 is from Saint Peters Missouri. I called toll free #. Spoke to customer service rep Amanda. I gave her the Cust ID# found on letter. I asked her which car this is for as I have more than one car, she said she did not have that information.  I asked her where she received my vehicle information? She said it is public knowledge anyone can get it.  I asked if my car information came from the car dealer/insurance companies. Again she said it's public knowledge. I asked her to take my name of off their list and DO NOT send any more mailings or call me regarding extending service protection.

Received in the mail with no return address - IMPORTANT-Vehicle Information on the outside envelope. No vehicle information listed - lists a customer ID #.  Implies I have some type of warranty coverage.  The notice came in my previous married last name that I have not used in 14 years.  No company name displayed.  At the bottom of the letter it states, "SSP is an independent company who provides extended vehicle service protection plans on behalf of leading their party administrators."  It is tempting to call the scammers but not worth my time.  I am sure they will have no actual vehicle information to tell me.

The calls about an extended warranty about to expire started just after I bought a new car a few years ago. They leave a message that is urgent and threatening in nature, claiming that they’ve tried to reach me by mail several times. It wasn’t until a few years in that I actually received mail, just after moving to a new address, from a company called SSP. The company name was buried in the fine print at the bottom. Very clearly a scam but the most persistent, aggressive scam I’ve ever experienced. They are truly hassling people.

I'm beyond tired of this.  Mail-outs with no contact info, other than a phone number that I am to call during their business hours.  I ignore the spam calls, but they will leave harsh, rude messages about their extended warranty. My car is 14 years old. Leave me alone.

On a letter addressed to my wife, Bold text phone # 877-200-2049, but this was the fine print at bottom:
SSP is an independent company who provides extended vehicle service protection plans on behalf of leading third party administrators.
Programs may vary depending on vehicle use, mileage, state, and preexisting conditions. SSP is not owned or affiliated with any manufacturer or dealer.

Good luck with the removal. Won't happen. I used to get the phone version of the letter (despite being on the Do Not Call list), but put a free visual voice-mail on my phone. They never left a message & voice mail app identified them as spam. Probably why they're sending mail.  Of course it's spam.
