I rec'd the same text message about a package they tried to deliver

I got a similar message. It's spam

Sending a text saying they have a package for me

2nd notice for package ID# 60147839 we were not able to deliver please call 1-877-200-4238 to correct your information. Stop2stop

I just got a text about an undelivered package- it came from 850-562-2278. Had a feeling it was bogus- that number comes up for a few different places but not FexEx, UPS, etc.
I also had a "tracking" number which I searched in my Gmail account for- I've searched tracking numbers for things I actually ordered so I tried it here too. Unsurprisingly, nothing came up.

02/23/2021. I received the following text message:
There is an error with package ID#4190078 to receive by next week please call 1-877-200-4238. Stop2Stop

I called the 877 number and heard a recording stating, “Please wait while we connect you...” and I hung up before connecting.
I called the number that dialed me, (562) 504-2104. What scared me here was a recording mentioning my name. It said, “We are trying to reach (my name)...” and THAT scared me so I hung up.

Than, my son told me that someone came to the sort 2x with a delivery. This made me even more nervous because the only packages that I am expecting is from Macy’s and they usually leave the package on the doorstep or in the mailbox. I am NOT expecting anything that I have to sign for.

I see a lot of people inquiring about this number, but not many with more details than that. Does anyone have any further information?

Second notice about a failed package delivery from 417-233-0429 text message, told me to call this number.

Received second text mesaage to call about my package. I didn’t order anything. I texted first time that I didn’t order anything and they text me again 1 weeks later.

It is fake and a scammer

223-444-6124 just sent me a Phishing Text Message on my cell phone. Spiel went as follows, "We have a shipping issue for package ID###### delivery to Your Hometown, Your State. Your item was returned to us. Please call 1-888-215-2708. textStop2end." Other numbers used by this scammer are - 1-877-200-4238, 1-877-200-7238, 1-888-214-6825.

1st thing I did was Goggle the 877 number and knew it was a scam.

same! asked to call the same number and i haven’t even ordered anything. i caught onto it fast because i have been calling scammers from a burner number annoying the heck out of them
