Staples calling about an online order. In my case, they couldn't get an authorization from the credit card company. So they call to see if I want to change the payment method or to cancel the order.

This number called me after trying to place an order on line with Staples using a staples reward VISA debit card. The gentleman took all my info credit card etc. and never processed the purchase.This gentleman took my email and everything, and I never heard from him again. I went to the store to pick up using the original purchase order, they had no record of the payment being made and wanted my credit card. again I HAD TO CANCEL MY CREDIT CARD.

I got a call from this number around 10:25am Pacific today, 8/14/15. I let it go to vm. The message was from an automated voice claiming to be Staples, and saying that they were having a problem with the credit card I used to make a purchase. It gave an order number, and said to call back at 877.277.5977. I didn't order anything from Staples, so I checked all of my credit cards for fraudulent activity and didn't see anything. I still don't want to call the number though, because I can't find anything definitive online to confirm that it really is a Staples phone number. The only phone number listed on their website is different.

I just had same message-- the order number was one I placed several months ago that was fulfilled. I think Staples had a breach.

I too received same and looks like this is fraudulent, since someone placed and order using my credit card details.  Called my credit card company and cancelled it. I tried to call back the  number and try to identify the details from the caller, the caller never gave me the details of who placed the order and to where, infact he asked about my address and said someone placed microsoft surface order. I would say this is fraud call.

i have contacted staples and this is a fake phone number. please do not give them your info. our CC was stolen and purchases made at staples. this is a phone call from the fraudsters trying to get more information so the order can go through.

This is a valid number for Staples, contacting re: problems with orders and payment for same.  The call-back number is different at 877-277-5977, but that number is valid also.

They called to report my credit card did not go through and requested a new card number.  I have not been in Staples in 8 years.  They provided a Fraud hotline number 866-493-8108.  They sounded very professional and stated I had no purchases and asked for my complete card number.  I did not provide and told them I would check with my bank. I ended the call.

Keeps calling but number is showing up as 000-000-0000
