- AnonymousLeft a message of the whereabouts of someone. Required by law to call names associated with this name (which was not left on the message). And if I do not have any info about the nameless person, call 877-204-3302. WTF?????
- AnniyedI am not sure who this is, but this is the 2nd voice mail in 2 days trying to find to track and trace someone. Any ideas who this can be?
- Not hidingI have received a phone call from these people looking for me. They won't leave a name for their company. Why would I call a random number if I don't know who it is. I am not hiding from anyone.
- Nothiding| 3 repliesGot call yesterday from this number, claiming they are tracing me.... WTH? will use reference to find me, okay, I am not hiding from anyone! Has to be scammer if not willing to say what company is looking for me and why. Just got call from different number today, 877-204-8791, another number to block!
- Caller: unidentified
- Linda replies to NothidingI also got a third call for that number 877-204-8791. I do not answer calls from numbers i do not know.
- Anna| 2 repliesThese people kept calling and harassing me so I decided to answer because I had a feeling it was a scammer. They told me I owe money for some payday loans through another company. Funny thing is I paid all my debt 2 years ago. Proceeded to tell them I've been scammed before like people like them and that they need to send me something in writing. If I owed money, it would be sent to collections not through a third party. They tried to tell me that they are a legitimate company and I laughed on the phone. I can't wait till they send me that letter. They told me to call them immediately following the letter to take care of the debt. They can send me a letter all they want but they are not getting my money. Warning do not give these people your info over the phone
- AnonymousI just got a call from 877-205-3682. Same message, same voice from 877-204-3302. What do they want? Call twice a day. OHHHHHHH!!! Maddening!

- Robin replies to Anna| 1 replyyes these people keep calling me..They are now calling family members of my 1st ex-husband's 2nd ex-wife to find me..This is crazy..They say I owe on a payday loan from 2012 that I got over the net..I don't owe any such thing..
- BigA replies to AnonymousIt depends on state law. If you live in a 1 party state all that is needed is for 1 party (you) to know about the recording. If you live in a 2 party state, then you must inform them that you are recording.
http://www.dmlp.org/legal-guide/recording-phone-calls-and-conversations - BigA replies to RobinThey call family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
