it says "we are calling about an important matter. not a solicitation call, it is regarding a time sensitive matter, please call back within 3 days"

This is a collection agency. They were calling on behalf of Verizon Wireless.

No reference about the phone call - no identification calling

Repeated calls from this number.  It is a recording and they leave a reference number and ask to call this number back during normal business hours.  Calls made back to this number during many different times of the day reach no one.

Same situation as above. Every time I call the number back, I receive no answer.  The call just rings.  This is annoying.

called and left a message and said to use a reference number...when I called back, the recording asked me to key in my account number....what?!?!?!? Are you kidding me?!?!? What account number, and WHY would I EVER input ANY account number into an unsolicited call???  UNBELIEVABLE!!

Altho I have turned the information about incorrect charges over to the Public Utilities Commission and sent Verizon Wireless's  two offices certified copies of the letter,  I am getting calls from this collection agency. They  leave a message  sounding like its an emergency and that they must be called back immediately. However on the backside  of Verizon's bill, they state that they are not allowed to contact a person until the PUC has made a determination of the charges. Second call within this hour leaving a message  stating that they are CC collection agency for Verizon Wireless.

We have gotten calls from this number several times over the last couple of weeks.  They give no identifying information, such as company name, or what the call is about, except the phone number to call back.  They make it sound very important, and say that it is not a solicitation call, and that we should call back immediately.  I will not call back a number that does not identify who it is, and what it's about.

I've received several calls from a different 1-800- number asking me to call them back at 1-877-208-4175.  Just got this phone number last month from Verizon Wireless.  Don't understand why a "collection agency" would be calling me.  Anyway to get them to stop?

Well it seem that Verizon Wireless is having issues.....We changed the cell service from my name to my husbands (he gets a 25% discount through his job). Now all of a sudden, I seem to owe them $200 bones even though we did not interrupt service, change numbers or anything.....

Now I ge to call and try to understand what this charge is for and let them know it will not be paid period.

The phone number is registered to CCA a Colodado formed corporation that is located in Denver, CO. Your best to speak with a supervisor as the communication abilities of the inbound call operators are limited. Once I spoke with a supervisor, they appoligezed and readily agreed to stop calling me day and night,....as I don't have an account nor have I ever had an account with Verison Wireless.

I just got got a call from this number and I haven't had Verison for a very long time. When I left my bill was paid. What is going on with those people?  4/14/09.   1:30 pm

I just got the call today and when I called they refused to tell me who they were.  I had to provide my SSN first, when I refused they responded with sorry we call the wrong Darren.  Very strange!

Same as everyone else.  We've started to get this recording within the last few weeks, and they seem to call every two days.  Exact same message as reported in the comments above (which seem to span over two years!).  

We do not have, and have NEVER had, any Verizon products.  Of course I will not call them back, especially in light of the information above and the completely vague and ambiguous message.  Thank God for caller i.d. and answering machines, but it still is annoying.

It does make me feel better knowing that I am not alone, though.

I received one of these calls. Nothing is on the system to prove that it is truly related to Verizon. I paid full price for a MIFI2200, that I caught a Verizon employee breaking my MDN/MIN number into two different numbers so my security would be compromised. In other words they broke their own contract the second day inthe store when they configured the system themselves.  I emailed into Verizon's Fraud Department, and called then I never received a response. Instead I get calls from my next door neighbors daughter that just so happens to have the other half of my phone number and she starts calling me to claim that she is a Verizon employee attempting to collect a dept. Her name is LaTrecisa Morrison and she is my landlords daughter, now she usually says that she wants my credit card number. When I ask any of them to please mail an invoice to the address on my receipt, normal thinking person response since I do not want to pay for something I do not owe since she sat out in her backyard and downloaded movies for over 4 hours after her boyfriend that works at the Verizon Store 2415 E. Baseline Rd. Phoenix, Arizona 85042 apparently gave her my information the day that his friend was configuring my MIFI.

Seriously all I want is an invoice, I have never received any invoices on this service period. Plus the reason I paid up front is I did not want to be on a contract. So the problem is back with Verizon since they changed all my account information to block my inquiries at the store. Yes I am whom  I am, I just would like an invoice and the MDN/MIN the same as was the original contract.

They keep calling me saying that I owe for Verizon Wireless - (Of course I am always up to date) So I called Verizon Wireless - they put me on hold and called this number - they got no answer but a busy signal.  After further investifation - Verizon told me this is not any number associated with them - and that they are going to investigate even further  - These people are pretty shrude - Plus they keep calling my cell phone - and whatever number they use to call from shows up as 'unknown number'  If it were Verizon - or anyone associated with them - it would show up as Verizon -

call came in with a recorded message , asked to hang up if not the person.

Beware...they claim to be Verizon and when I pressed the issue, she admitted they are a collection agency identified as an individual  that is employed by EOCCA .
This individual even had a supervisor (Eric) that I was transferred to and admitted  he works  for Verizon and when I asked if his paycheck was from Verizon,he became very aggitated..,I find it very amusing how quickly they broke down while they were  trying to secure information regarding my wife's  social security number claiming she has an account with Verizon wireless and owes $$$ but couldn't tell me the address of the account holder as it was a privacy issue ..Jerk weeds.
