- SeanAppStar Financial.. a telemarketer that wants you to switch to their credit card processing. They don't EVER get the hint you arent interested. Best to either block them or answer the phone, put them on hold and let them pay for the minutes they waste....

- R MartinI have repeatedly asked Appstar to remove my home phone number from their call data base. They have not done so. I received two calls today already.

This number is on the No Call List & I am reporting to the FTC (they do NOTHING!) and the Attorney General.
Too bad we can't sue the government for not actually enforcing the No Call List. It's worthless!- Caller: AppStar Financial

- JeffJust rec'd a phone call from a female who id'ed herself from Appstar who wanted to talk to the business owner. I told her he was unavailable & asked if they were a telemarketer. She then wanted to know why I thought they were in a pissed off tone of voice & I said i knew then hung up on her.
- Caller: Appstar
- HarveFemale rep. said they were "Fast Dot Financial". I said I would be sending "Bruiser" to their place to knock some heads together. Also reported them to no-call list.

- FubarAnother option...takes a few minutes. Go to www.bbb.org. Enter, for them, San Diego, CA. Put in the company name, AppStar Financial (it will fill them) and then file a complaint. If nothing else, the company will have to spend time responding or it will get black marks on its record. I have the easy ability to create dozens of email addresses for different domains. I'm thinking of spending 5 minutes each day for the next month filling out complaints against them.

- LBLGot several calls from these people, one time I answered and a man told me he represented Sam's wholesale Club and that they promoted some credit cards? Now he wanted to know my pin number. These people are thefts do not give them any information. Do ask them for a telephone number so you can call them back. That’s impossible. If you get a phone number please post it here.

- FrauSame here with numerous calls each day. Don't know how to block the number but would like these people shut down completely. They are a nuisance to us all. Have tried the costing them time by not answering but leaving phone off the hook plus on other days just not answering period. Nothing seems to deter them.

- Stop the MadnessReceived call from man who sounded like a gangster from the hood. I didn't directly answer any his questions, so he became rude and nasty then hung up on me.

- CJJust got a call from this number-- woman on the other end asked for someone by name but who hasn't owned the business in over a decade, sure sign of an out-of-date mined-data list. The lady cut the call short saying that her phone was messed up and she'd have someone call back.
I have the "Half-Life Headcrab zombie's screaming" sound file queued up and ready, ma'am.- Caller: Toll Free Call

- GrrInHB| 1 replyCJ, any chance there's a link to that sound file? I was planning to track down that noisy message you get when you call a disconnected number (the "Squee! Squa! Squee! You have reached a number that's no longer in service..." message) and then just play it into the phone every time I get one of the dozen calls a week I get from one scam or another.

- NickAnother annoying credit card processor telemarketing their services. Because they can process credit cards cheaper, faster and better than the other 2.5 billion companies that exist.

- PO'edGuy call and asked for me by name. I asked him if he knew my number was on the "Do Not Call List", he responded with "Oh I'm not a solicitor I'm with App Star". So I asked him what his call is in reference to? He then says "I'll just take my business elsewhere. I suppose his thought process is maybe I'd think he wanted something ligit. My response was "GOOD DEAL!" with an immediate hang up. And why does a credit card processor continually call a residence? I do run a small home business, with a totally separate name and number. If anyone needs CC processing on the go, check out SQUARE for use on most smart phones. I'm waiting to see if he calls back today or waits a day or two. If so it easy enough to block the number.

- App Star FailI called the phone number back after not answering the initial call. My call was answered by an auto attendant that walked me through steps to have my phone number removed from their call list. It is worth a shot!
