I know the company is in Santa Rosa, California. Other number is 877-208-5182. Also other phone number is 866-446-0566. It claims to sell Magazines. It charges a subtantial amount of money money monthly for Canadian magazines that You could by a yearly subscription for what they charge you for 6 magazines. Problem is they charge you that amount MONTHLY! I was told that I could get 6 magazines monthly for the cost of $ 82.92. I assumed that was yearly since the magazines in question where: Elle, Canadian Living, Readers Digest, and three more Canadian magazines that I know for a fact can go for a yearly subscription of around $25 a year. Why would I pay over $84 a month through the U.S. If I had know they were calling from the U.S. To sell me Canadian magazines when I can by them in my own country! And I sure would not have agreed to a monthly billing if I had clearly understood what they were saying! So know I will be logging a complaint to the Canadian Board for the Protection of Consumers as well as other Canadian agencies, from the RCMP Fraud Unit, since this company seems to think that it's rules apply on foreign soil. I never signed anything, plus I believe that the laws of my land still apply to me and where I live.

I just got the call from them selling magazines. Stupidly, I ordered them. I´d like to cancel and called them back. They sayd I have to call tomorrow because today´s orders are not submitted in her computer today. Did you try to cancel and did it work?

I too ordered the magazines not comprehending at first the cost. I tried to cancel soon after and they said it was too late. I want to stop this payment. Ideas?

Never heard anything back. But that does not mean they were not investigating. I am only one complainent. There is always Pyramid Scheme Alert in US. Although they specialise in Pyramid Schemes, they like like to be aware of other scammers.

I too had the same call yesterday, Thursday, April 14, 2016. I didn't know this was a monthly cost as I assumed it sounded like yearly. Now I don't know what I'm going to do. This seems to me like blackmail. This is ridiculous. I will try to call them and see what happens. We need to report this company, whoever they are. They have to be stopped

I fell victim to these guys too. I have two charges one for $88.05 and another for $88.23. To add insult to injury I never received the magazines they said they would send me in the mail so I am paying for nothing. If I really wanted to I could sue them but it is not worth it. I would pay more in legal costs than the case would be worth. I will if they get my new card number and start charging my card because it is illegal to charge someone for a service/product you never received.

Really the only thing you can do is try to stop further damage by canceling your card and getting a new one issued by your bank. However, if they really want to they can get your new card number by going to the bank with evidence that you agreed to make so many payments but they can't collect because you canceled your old card. However, I don't think it is worth it for them to come after you for so little money. In my case though I never received a product they charged me for so if they come after me I will get nasty with them and sue them. However, for the time being I am willing to let it go as a lesson learned. Moral of the story never give your credit card number out over the phone. A very good piece of advice from my dad

I have also been scammed by this company, and am phoning American Express now. I hope that I get some results. The woman at Am. Express, said to call them, and ask for a cancellation, with an e-mail as confirmation. If I don't get that, then Am. Express can go after them.

They told me, that I would get a deal on purchasing their deal in stores (Walmart ,Sears,and so on). I now find out that they crooked operation.

i fell for this scam too. I agreed to it (foolish me) and asked them to send me a physical bill and to not charge me again. not only did I not get my magazines and have had NO correspondence from them.  I have been charged 3 times and all of them were for different amounts.

The one an only time I accepted something like this ever! And i have been charged 3 times with nothing to show for it, I have tried calling multiple times and keep getting an automated man saying " they are busy and will call back " load of [***] if you ask me.

Did you ever get a response? I have been trying to contact a # that called me and yup same boat, accepted offer been charged monthly and have not received a single item..

I too have been scammed. I hadn't recieved anything and was told I couldn't cancel as it was passed due and that I was obligated to pay due to a voice recording saying I agreed. They called me every day these past 2 weeks after I canceled my card and had them remove payments off my card. I said that I want a physical copy 3 times and I still hadn't recieved it how am I suppose to pay a bill when I don't know the amount and  the manager of this so called company said my file apperead on her desk and that meant it was fincial restitution when I informed her of my problem she said she could get me out of it if I pay 650 dollars. I said no as I already told her I had nothing to give her and I want to know the amount I owe now she never answered. the employees are rude they can not even give me any information on how I would pay a bill when I recieve it through mail if I ever do unless I use a credit card. I refused. They have all the right address information yet the Dimond watch.. which I was told I would recieved has not come. The package that was suppose to be sent to me stating the information on the subscription never came that had all cancelation information was not recieved. I had after a long time recieved 2 magazines but nothing since and I'm not sure if it because I have been pursuing legal action that they want to cover their butts. Because it was well over 16 weeks before I even recieved those and still have recieve information on this subscription like they give  when ever you sign up  for anything i had spoken with a lawyer Secons she had adviced me to write a letter stating I will sue them if they do not cancel because I was not told about the 3 day cancellation.. I hadn't been paying for anything for free in fact pretty much paying for nothing...  I was not informed of the 16 payment. I had not recieved any contract through the mail as adviced... She said that they have to cancel it if it is a legal company every company should be able to cancel a company can not tell you that you can't it is actually eligal. Their employees yell across the room for their suporvisor which I find weird cause ever company just connects you through to the other line. As far as I know I believe they are scams I have researched on this for months and they are actually being investigated in some states in the us and Canada. I'm still fighting this as I have no idea what to pay as the won't tell my they only tell my a full big lump sum and demand it right away and no paper copies shows me they just want my card so they can keep doing it.  I learned a hard lesson and will not fall to this again and I take full responsibility for my stupidity but if I can help someone one here great.

A verbal agreement over the phone is not legally binding. How could it be? They could record anyone agreeing and claim it was you.
Stick to your guns and do not pay them anything.

I do have a subscription with this company and I paid in full for my magazines last in March of 2017. I called in November of 2017 to change some magazines and it cost me another $38+ to do so. In December of 2017, they called and started with this message about steak knives. I told them they had to call back because I was on another call. I was on my cell phone with my son, as it was the anniversary of my mother's death. Then they called back the first week of January 2018 and started off by they wanted to verify they were talking to the right person and rattled off some information about me and I said yes and then they rattled off my old credit card number. I said no that's the old card, they asked for the new one and like a dummy I gave it to them. Then they started with the steak knife thing and $55 for something and I got irritated and told her I wasn't interested in her steak knives and I wished I hadn't given them my credit card number. Well she hung up. I called the number back and she said she couldn't look up my account by my phone number and wanted my credit card number, I said I just gave it to someone and I'm not giving it out again. She hung up again, I called back again and got the same girl. I asked to speak to her manager, she gave me to some guy after some time on hold. He told me I opened a new account on December 29, 2017 with them and I owe them $55 every month for 18 months, I went ballistic. He said my next payment would be Jan 21. I told him I would not be paying that payment. I came to my computer and there wasn't a charge for December, so I told him to go to h*ll. Fast forward to Feb when my statement came out, they charged me on January 8th and January 21. I called my credit card company and the reversed the charges. I told them not to reverse November as I gave permission for that one. They cancelled my card and sent me a new one. Well the last couple of days they keep calling me and telling me I'm 3 months behind. Today another call comes in. They keep saying I opened a second account, so today the girl hung up on me, I called back and said this second account you keep saying I opened, what's it for, she told me the same magazines I'm currently getting for another 2 years. I said to her, why in the world would I order the same magazines I currently get? I still have 2 years left on them. She says I don't know and hung up. I called her back again and stated screaming at her and told her about how I asked the girl to call back when she called on the anniversary of my mother's death, so how could I have ordered magazines that day? I also told her I'm turning them into Ontario for trying to defraud me. She said well, when you get 5 payments behind we'll put this against your credit and said something about the account and hung up. I called back again and said I'm sorry, I didn't catch what you just said about my account. She said I'm putting a note on your account, I said you had better cancel the account, she said NO and hung up. I've blocked all of their numbers in my home phone and my cell phone. I'm going to turn all three of their phone numbers into the Ontario Fraud unit and write Equifax and let them know the situation. Oh and the other two numbers I get calls from are local, 1-289-608-8876 and 1-416-613-9465. So if you ever see those numbers on your call display, just don't answer.
