It’s a scam. Called from an unknown number. Male left a voicemail saying his name was Christian Ballard with Bank of America and that he was calling me regarding an “existing matter” and to call 1-877-208-5292. I called the ACTUAL number for Bank of America and they said that there are no alerts or calls showing being made out to me and it is likely a scam call.

Number called me about a matter about my bank account?

Just got a suspicious call from this number claiming to be Bank of America. She spoke really fast and new the last 4 digits of my account number. I hung up and checked my credit card online and there is nothing out of line with the card. Checked this site and other have been receiving scam calls as well from this number. I blocked the number on my phone.

I received a phone call from this number claiming that they were from Bank of America and I was to call them back immediately about a change in status regarding my payment deferral. I did call back and they instantly starting asking for personal information. I quickly said no thank you and hung up.

You sure are eager to get the word out, and based on what sound like accurate posts, I am guessing you are a Shill for what is at least a phishing scam. You did not come here to look up a number, now did you?

To Future Readers and Posters - Be VERY careful about calls from this number!
- If you do have any type of deferred payment agreement, you know how to call your bank or CC company to check on if they are trying to reach you.

My mother received same type of VM from a male who claimed he was calling from Bank of America.  Message is very conviencing, they know your name as stated on account and account issues (maybe a guess).  We called the bank directly, rep stated "It is a scam".  When Bank of America calls, sends correspondence, etc., it is documented. There were no notes regarding such a call.  Please share this information with elderly friends and loved ones.  My 87 year old mother almost fell victim.

Thanks for posting info Alisha.  Just got the same call/msg... Caller ID from 877-208-5269 told to call 877-208-5292. I called BofA and the CC fraud dept called the numbers back themselves and did actually verify that the call back number is a legitimate BofA number but they have no idea why the dept was calling or why no notes have been left on ppls accounts as required by policy - so they are escalating the issue to managers/supervisors and will get back to me :)

While this may have been a legitimate call for you doesn't mean all calls from this number are from BoA. Scammers frequently spoof legitimate phone numbers so one should never trust a random caller to be who they claim.

It’s a SCAM not Bank of America. Calling asking to verify. They got the wrong one. Ask them to send you a verification code through your mobile app. THEY CAN’T!!!!!

Definitely a SCAM. Well done though. the way they keep you waiting and ask for specific information. Even when I pointed out these reviews she was continuing to keep up the story

Got same call same person at 820pm.
He said he called from west coast and bank allow to call until 9pm.
Feel like svam
