I believe this text is phishing. RE: Victorias Secret ....... I don't owe them any money but it is soliciting help.

Just had them texting me regarding "Express credit card"

I called the number, first thing their automated system does is ask for your social. I just hit 0 and waited to speak to someone. I then asked this lady where she's calling from.

"Uhh Comenity Bank"

I asked her where she was calling from, like where the business is?

"Well, uh, we're uh, we're all over."

I said Okay, then name me one address where your institutions are.

"Uh, Ohio?"

I said an address

"I don't have time for this"

and then she hung up.

This is 100% a scam.

Incorrect answer. Yes that bank name does business with VS and others but these texts are coming from scammers. They are using phone numbers very similar to the real thing. They have been proven to be scammers.

i got an email from Woman Within saying that they were trying to work with those affected by the pandemic and offering to help pay the CC bill, which is with Comenity bank.  I do have an account with them and owe a small balance on a recent purchase.  But I don't need help.  I just blocked them.

Got a Text message for someone claiming to be Comenity Bank why would a bank contact me on Sunday? I think it is a scam.

the text message gave a different number when a texted them back by accident - 877-561-2662

Got a text from this number:" We keep missing you, call Comenity Bank RE: Kay Jewelers @ 877-591-2662 or cbnk.co/WWWDN90XWM. To stop text reply STOP for help reply help."

I got a text from the same number saying "they keep missing me and to call them about my Victoria Secret CC".  I went online, the numbers for Victoria Secret CC is Customer Care 1-800-695-9478 and TDD/TTY 1-800-695-1788 and the numbers mirror what is on the card.  I called the center, spoke to someone and they confirmed it was a bogus  number for them.  Your welcome

When I paid my bill off for Victoria Secret, they said they will never ask for your personal info. So yes, this is a scam

I have received at least 100 texts from the number in the past 6 months. When I decided to answer and ask what they were calling for they said they couldn’t tell me without giving my street address, last four of my social, and my government last name. I hung up. They called/texted more and the last time, I picked up fully ready to tell them off. This time, it was the real Victoria Secret company and my previous payment didn’t go through (this was confirmed) and I paid my bill. This was around 3-4 months ago. And now they are starting to call again.
