The call I got from 877-211-0329 said my debit card had been blocked. Press#1 to hear the message. Which I did, thinking it was legitimate. Then press#2 to unblock, which made me suspicious. Then it said hang up to disregard. Now, Im wondering, If I have made a serious error, by engaging in this at all. I hate these things !!!!

This is getting a bit a annoying. I'm overeses and receive these calls twice a day. They cost $2.99 a min....

The fact is that I'm an NRA patron member and donate over $1k per year yet they still try and jam me for more money....

I'm a life long endowment member of the NRA.  I called them back and they did say they are the NRA (their message answering machine).  Of course, anyone could have a return call say they are the NRA, wanting your credit card number, etc.  I just put them on "block" on my Panasonic telephone as I do with everyone I don't care to have a conversation with. They did say they would call back in a few days, so now they will only ring once before being dumped off the phone line.  I love the NRA but "I" will be the one to make contact, not them (if it was them).

Instead of saying it's not the National Rifle Association, maybe you should call the number and see for yourself.
It IS the National Rifle Association it isn't your National Recovery Agency. STOP trying to scare people

NOT the Nat'l Rifle Assoc. It is the NATIONAL RECOVERY AGENCY--what appears to be a collection type business who may claim you owe BooCoo bucks for a product like books or something that YOU NEVER PURCHASED. They post fraudulent claims to peoples credit ratings.  They call daily, sometimes 2 & 3 x's.  The Recovery Agency has numerous numbers they utilize to call people everyday! I never answer any of these numbers. 855-238-3478 ---- 703-988-6387 ---- 888-202-2385 ---- 877-211-0329 ---- 866-275-8502 They have been reported to the Attorney General in PA who supposedly were investigating them.  Complaints on them are listed on this website called RipoffReport.com http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/specific_search/National+Recovery+Agency  Type National Recovery Agency into your browser and see what all comes up!

P.S. It's my own personal belief that they don't care if people think it's the Nat'l Rifle Assoc. harassing their customers with phone calls.  Most people don't look up the phone numbers to see if it is or isn't the rifle assoc. and it's possible they take delight in hearing people want to cancel their memberships to the Rifle Assoc. in order to ruin them. JMHO

You have to answer the call to see who it is.  It could be the NRA (National Rifle Assoc) or it could be the NRA (National Recovery Agency),  (look up- nragroup.com).  Since numbers get spoofed, just looking up the number and stating "that's who called me" is actually pretty ignorant.  You have to actually ANSWER the call to find out who it is/was THEN report it.

In my case, it was an agency looking for a deadbeat step son who has court cases, outstanding child support and outstanding debts people are trying to collect on.  It wasn't either of the two afore mentioned NRAs.  I told them not to call back as I had no knowledge of where he had gone and haven't had contact with him in months nor did I plan to. If it's the National Rifle Assoc, simply tell them to remove you from their call list.  If you are a member, by law, they are allowed to call,  but will not continue to call if you request "NOT" to be called anymore (like I did months ago as I am member).

So, supposedly smart people, find out who it is when they call, don't try to call back or simply look up the number and assume who it was that called.  Calling back and looking up the number will not always tell you who it really is/was since there is so much spoofing of ID phone numbers going on today.  Just FYI....

It is the National Rifle Assn.  They always want money.  I support the 2nd A but don't appreciate all the fund raising calls and mailings I get.

They are soliciting funds to fight the gun control lobby.

Certainly NOT the NRA, I am a life member and the NRA DOES NOT solicit by phone. I answered out of curiosity and a female voice started a spiel. When I told her I had to wait for captions because I was HOH, she hung up.

CID says "Toll Free".  I did not answer and I am blocking this number.  

Well some people on here are making claims that this number 1-877-211-0329 is NOT the National Rifle Assoc. but when I dialed the number it was answered by a machine that announced that it is indeed the National Rifle Association, It also gave me an option to press #1 to hear more about the NRA which I did and the message went into a long speech about the NRA and how they need more money to continue their fight for our Gun Rights.  These type of non stop calls from the NRA's main headquarters and state office where I'm located is the very reason why I canceled my membership this year, In fact when my wife and I joined 3 years ago we were barraged with no stop calls from them and the call centers they hire to suck more money out of their members include some of their affiliates that they sold our info to who called us 7 days a week from 7AM till 9PM,  The NRA will never see another dime from us

I have no clue why folks think this number comes from something called National Recovery Agency.  I called the number back and it is answered with "Thank you for calling the National Rifle Association".  So, regardless of what others may think it actually is the National Rifle Association.  AND - I wish they'd quit calling me.  I'm a member, and I get hounded unmercifully sometimes almost daily.  I'll renew my membership when it is due, but that is about all I will do as I appreciate the lobbying efforts on behalf of gun rights.  Again, I wish them the best...but I wish they'd leave me alone, I just can't afford to give them anymore money.
