Recd yet another call 3/17/16 at 10:47a.m. Caller ID showed "NRA." National Restaurant Association? National Rifle Association? National Recovery Agency (which is a private debt collection agency). Being bombarded by calls from "NRA" using the following numbers: 888-202-2385, 866-275-8502, 877-211-0329, 703-988-6387, and 855-238-3478. These numbers may belong to legitimate companies but are now being spoofed by criminals.  I blocked all five of these numbers.

It is the National Rifle Association.  I called the number back and a recording confirmed that.  I am a member but they do hound you for donations.

Thanks.  I was about to lose faith in one of the few institutions I still revere.

It is the National Rifle Association asking for me to extend my membership and for further contributions to support pro Second Amendment politicians.

When you called them back, did they answer by saying "This is the NRA"? Did they actually use the words National Rifle Association or just NRA? There are hundreds of companies that use the same initials as other companies just to fool you. The real NRA, the National Rifle Association will stop calling if you ask them to. If you just get crappy with them over the phone, they will keep calling. Play nice, ask them to stop. They will.

This is NOT the National Rifle Association. It is a left wing scam designed to make people hate the NRA and the people on this board who say it is the real NRA are part of the scam. I don't know about you, but I despise these left wing dirty tricks. I hope they get everything that's coming to them... in triplicate.

No one at this website is calling You.  Invest in a call blocker and do NOT pick up on call numbers you do NOT recognize.

Take off your tin hat.  More than likely debt scammers using NRA acronym.  My suspicion is that someone or some group is using the NRA acronym in an attempt to get information.  Largely for debt scamming purposes.

If the National Rifle association calls you, you caller ID will show that name.  My caller ID says toll free caller.  It's a scam.  So 877-211-0329 is not the National Rifle Association.

I took the suggestion of another contributor to "800notes.com".  I downloaded and recorded a fax tone, picked up the call on speakerphone, and played the fax tone.

A robo-caller should not want to waste any time placing calls to a fax machine.  They should remove the number from their list.

I'm keeping a record of numbers I responded to with the fax tone, and if the fax-tone strategy works, I will report that to the discussion thread for this number

SPOOFED NUMBER! !! Will use the real NRA name and phone number to fool you. If you CALL the number you will get NRA. But if you ANSWER  the phone you'll get some oother scumbag. BLOCKED. Wait for real NRA to mail you.

Caller said she was fundraiser for National Rifle Association. I then called published number at 18006723888. The woman who answered says the caller is a legitimate fund raiser, and she agreed to make sure our number was removed from this number and any fundraising.

 Once and for all, this is NOT the National Rifle Assoc calling for money, the NRA DOES NOT do telephone solicitations.  The number is spoofed.  I can spoof a number showing the name and number for ANYONE from the president on down to your name and number.  I've had these scammers call me spoofing my own name and number before, and I know damned well I didn't call myself on my land-line.  So all you Nat'l Rifle Assoc haters, [***]...

Whenever they call me, I flip the speaker phone on and just play the following web site sound  https://www.dialupsound.com/  It makes the old AOL dialup noise and they tend to hang up and never call back as they think it is a fax machine or modem. :)

It is the National Recovery Associates they call from hundreds of different numbers looking for someone who is not known. I think they are scammers. They call all hours of day, night and weekend. So far i have 50+ numbers of theirs blocked

My husband answered this call.  It is a fund raiser for the National Rifle Association.
They even played a recording from the president of NRA.  For those of you insisting
it isn't National Rifle; answer the phone, you will find out.  I am blocking this number but
they will call; using another #.

I am a member of the National Rifle Association, and this call is not from them.
