- tamana replies to sure you did...| 1 replyThey are not an agency… But it's not a scam. Yes, it's expensive and a lot of the money might go in their pockets, but you get a "taste" of the acting life and film a reel you can use in the future in your acting work.
- Nope replies to tamanaAny reputable modeling or acting agency will NOT ask you to pay upfront. If your child has the looks/talent that they want, THEY pay - not you. Scam all the way!

- Billy G.Having worked in the entertainment industry any parent who would let their child strive to perform beyond school plays has no idea what problems they are asking for as a result. I've known child actors and the only ones who didn't have a crazed adulthood had parents who were in the business and treated it like a business.

- G-3-P-OFolks, this is nothing new. Maybe a little more complex, a little larger than the scams of entertainment past, but still just a shake down. I can tell you in the 80's & 90's these types of folks had small workshops & they would troll the arcades & tell kids they could be the next Karate Kid. You'd show up for an "audition" & they'd tell you it was close, but you;d need to take acting classes at their workshop for $$$ & you needed to come to their studio for better head shots for $$$ & they'd tell you you needed to go to some convention in LA for $$$ & in the end, you never met anyone that any studio would ever communicate with or see any proof of any of their "scouts" or "agents" actually having clients that are happily working in the industry.
I'll tell you another secret. When I was 18, I was dating a gal whose sister ran these types of scams. I was to pretend I was their at the "scouts" behest & play along & tell them how wonderful everything is & how many call backs I had gotten. So it's not just the organizers, but also some of the older "kids" & even "parents" are often times involved. They are the only "actors" that will be making any money doing any acting in conjunction with these things.
You don't have to believe me. Talk to your parents or grandparents. Talk to friends & family. One of them is bound to have experienced this or a similar scam in the past 50 years.
Coincidentally, eventually a friend of a friend send a head shot & a tap to a real casting agent. Never did any film or TV, but did appear in several print media advertising spots & as a model in an annual hair styles book for published stylist. Funny enough, I was playing Galiga or something similar, in an arcade, which is where I was first approached by similar scammers many many years ago. BTW, when I got the few parts in these ads, I never was asked to pay a dime.- Caller: 8772140770

- dougbulldog replies to HotlantaThese scam artists are here in NZ. auditioning hundreds of kids, telling them all they are going to be Hollywood stars then hitting up parents for $5500 plus. They broke my ten year old daughters heart,
Unless you have tens of thousands of dollars to blow on your kids stay away from this. like anything in Hollwood this is fake - Adam Zorkot replies to Z| 5 repliesI auditioned for them, and got a call back.
I was supposed to go to dubai in two weeks but then my dad started asking questions via email or face to face "where is your company located in america exactly?" They would change the subject. Or "do u have a business card" they would say "no... we dont but heres a magazine with all the info u need" then my dad started asking big companies in dubai abt them and they said or that they never heard of them or that theyre a scam
And there goes my excitement my BIG BREAK my hope for the life i want.
