- who replies to Austin Kulp| 2 repliesNot so sure I would believe the person above, named Austin Kulp. Unfortunately nowadays you CAN'T believe ANYONE who calls you and is just a voice over the phone line. They can say they are ANYONE that they want to.
My suggestion would be that IF you want to donate to ANY fund, then find their ph# in the Phonebook or from 411 Information, along with their Legitimate address, and call ONLY that number.
NEVER give out ANY info. to some strange voice over the phone!!!!!!
OR ask them to MAIL you a packet of info. It is a FELONY to put anything Fraudulent in the U.S. Mail, AND it can be traced, so Scammers are unlikely to do that. - Sandra Lee P replies to Austin KulpIf you are legitimate, please prove as calls as described here are very crude and annoying....why only ask for the female or 'Mrs' of the home---why hang up? why call repeatedly?
- arrgh replies to Austin Kulp| 1 replyDo NOT believe the poster above, Austin Kulp. Do NOT believe ANYONE, EVER, who is just a voice over the phone line. DON'T do it!!! NEVER!!!!!
Also, if you WANT to donate to a good Charity, be sure to check them out THOROUGHLY first. At least 75 -90% of all their Proceeds, should be going to the Charity itself, and NOT for Administrative purposes (which means into the gold-lined pockets of those who perpetrate the Scam in the first place)!!
Simply put, NEVER, EVER, believe ANYTHING a voice on the phone says or tells you. NEVER!!! - arrgh replies to arrghP.S. Also, when they ask you for your Credit Card # or for your Checking Acct. #, - how in the world do you know who they REALLY are, that is about to use your personal Credit Card or Checking acct info ??????
Don't EVER give your personal info. to ANY strange voice over the phone!!!! Next thing you know, that seemingly innocent Charity donation will show up on your Credit Card as a $750 dollar purchase for a new TV set, jewelry, or a nice vacation somewhere, for some SCAM artist!! - Austin Kulp replies to who| 1 replyAs the marketing communications manager for Childrens Cancer Recovery Foundation (CCRF), I am both dismayed and disturbed to hear that individuals are using our children with cancer to prey on well-meaning donors. Phone scams, whether real or suspected hurt legitimate charities like ours. Children’s Cancer Recovery Foundation raises funds for its programs through a telemarketing company. However, it is entirely possible that there is a phony telemarketing scheme using our name. We have earned the GuideStar Exchange Seal. Every donation helps us advance our mission. If you are at all concerned that the call you’re receiving is a scam, please call our office at 1 (800) 238-6479 or e-mail us at childrens@cancerrecovery.org. Feel free to use our online donation system at www.childrenscancerrecovery.org.

- joanie877-218-8361 comes up on caller id as "unavailable". Answered and a man was asking for donation for veterans. I told him to send me info in the mail as I won't give money (ie: credit card, checking acct numbers) over the phone. He got very angry calling me filth-laden names, and went as far as to threaten my children. Apparently ex-cons and/or pedophiles and psychopaths are hired to do this lame work . Disgusting.
- Caller: "unavailable"
- Gigi replies to Austin KulpMr. Kulp - If you want your organization to be taken seriously, you need to employ serious people. I received a call from a female with a serious case of the giggles. I was actually somewhat amused since I myself have suffered from the giggles while on a business call, so I wasn't offended. But when she apologized and told me that her boss was standing there purposely trying to make her laugh, all I could think was how unprofessional this call center is. Her BOSS for heaven's sake!! The second time I got a call from you guys the gentleman was very professional though. I'm assuming the "boss" was off that day!
- MagPie54This is a veterans charity scam, Foundation for American Veterans. They are in fact a registered nonprofit but according to their 990s they spend between 8% and 11% on programs for vets. The other 90 cents goes to their execs and fundraisers. Read the reviews at Guide Star: http://greatnonprofits.org/whitelabel/reviews ... erican-veterans or this article at http://http://www.military-money-matters.com/foundat ... l#axzz2JbbTiuFd

- Carlene LoranceNext time I get a call from this number, I am going to blast their ears with an airhorn. How can I get these jerks to stop calling? I've asked them to remove name and number from call list but they keep calling and sometimes late into the night. I am considering ending land line service with AT&T as this company seems to not care if we have to put up with these hassle phone calls from telemarketers/fundraisers. I've registered my phone number with Do not call list, which apparently doesn't matter. I just recieved a call from this number, I answered, said hello, the person calling appears to know first and last name. I said yes, and he hung up. WTF, he hung up before I could chew his [***] out! cause he knew that was what was coming. Is there anything to stop these calls???????
- Caller: Unknown
- TomAnother number I recorded for harassing phone calls all day long.
I am retired and it is distressing to wonder if there is an emergency or my wife is hurt and
see this same number every time. They call all day, all night and all weekend. We tried to make a list
of exactly how many times they call but it became ridiculous so we only recorded the actual phone number
instead. I want to answer and cuss them out but even that is annoying to think about. I just want to be left alone. - Pattee| 1 replyI received this call twice. The first time it was for Children's Cancer Research and I donated, now I get the call again and its for some Veteran's Fund. What's the sense of having a Do Not Call Registry if no one pays attention to it. At least the number shows up so now I can choose to not answer it if they do call back.
- Caller: AC Services, Childrens Cancer Research
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- ken replies to PatteeSounds like you need to go to the DNC/Ftc site and read/learn about the DNC. Who it applies to, how it works, and WHO IS EXEMPT!
- highly snnoyed replies to Austin KulpMy phone number has been on the do not call list for years. During the past several months, I have been getting unsolicited calls from your organization 5-8 times a day. Your telemarketers never leave a message. When I answer and begin to ask them not to call me again....they simply hang up. When I block the 1-877 which has called me, they simply call from yet another 1-877 number.
If you are a legitimate organization, you are damaging your reputation as well as fundraising efforts by allowing these annoying and unprofessional calls to continue. STOP HARRASSING ME - NancyI also received a call from 877 218 8361. I receive so many calls from solicitors like this that I bought a phone that had a "block" feature on it. The problem is the "block" feature only holds 50 telephone numbers and I've now filled up the queue :-( So now my husband and I simply ignore any 877/866/800 numbers.
