Received a text message from bank-mobile-alert@services.com with 877-220-2434 as the call back number. Obviously a scam.

Forward unwanted spam/scam texts to 7726 (SPAM) and let your phone service provider deal with them.
That number was set up by the phone companies to combat spam texts and they can shutdown offending phone numbers.
Never reply with "STOP", scammers will not honor the request (they have no honor to begin with) and it only verifies that they have texted to a valid number and a person who reads their texts.  It will not STOP the texts and may actually make them more frequent.
Never click on a link in such a text as it may cause malware to be inserted on your phone, and even if it does not, just as with replying "STOP" the scammers will know they reached a valid number.

Received the same type of message from the same number and all I did was hit DELETE and report it as a scam number.

Text message indicates VISA- CARD temporarily - locked - its a bunch of BS. Wish the US gov would do something about this crap!!!!!!!!!!!!

This text message indicates "VISA - Card temporarily - locked - and asks for you to reflect your visa card number to unlock.. no mention of the company... RED FLAG!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT type ANY of your visa card numbers.. Where the hell is the US GOV on this crap.. or the communication carriers in letting this crap go on.. Hello VERIZON? AT&T, TMobile etc etc...

Instead of ranting and raving maybe you should have taken the time to read the other posts where you would have found out what to do about this and how the carriers are taking responsibility.  Alas though you probably left in a hurry and will never see this reply nor actually learn anything because you art too busy whining and complaining instead of reading and learning.

Nope, this has been going on for years... and I did take the time to report to the appropriate agencies...  in today's high tech world, I would expect more responsibility from the various agencies responsible to address this problem.. Have to feel for the elderly which likely are primary targets.. I don't consider this ranting, more out of frustration....

Sure seems obvious to be a scam, according to others who posted about it.

Received a browser alert to call this number on my laptop. I called back and it was very sketchy so I got off the line. Be careful out there.
