The caller asked if I am "my last name". After I said yes, he said he was calling from Amex.. FBI knows my recent purchase.. clearly a scam call.   I hang up immediately.  The number seems to be a genuine Amex number.

That is what you said in the other thread there "Kevin".

"The number seems to be a genuine Amex number." Which means the scammer is spoofing it to try and convince you his call is legitimate. Fortunately you knew it wasn't.

Both guys with heavy Indian accent. First guy asked if I made an $11k purchase with my AMEX card. I asked him which card. He read off some random card number not matching anything I have. Then he asked to transfer me to his supervisor. Then his supervisor introduced himself as "Kevin Johnson". I asked him if that's really his name. He didn't sound so sure about it. Then he asked how he could assist me. I laughed, told him to get his stuff together, and hung up.

Same thing here. But my AE card already locked
