- M.J. replies to figcon| 1 replyI have been called by a place in Boston, MA called Propertys Direct by an Angeline Brooks. She stated that they have a client that wants to buy my timeshare and already have a $50,000 deposit from them. I needed to send them $1,900 for the closing fees that I would get back. Also talked to someone in the legal dapartment by the name of Emily Fontez. With much searching I found the compay on the BBB but they are not a member. The company is also known as Landmark Timeshares, Countrywide Timeshare Sales, Propertys Direct, Quick Sale Propertys, and Sun Property Network. Can also be called Landmark, LLC or Landmark Marketing. Addresses listed are 1130 or 11310 S Orange Blossom Trail, Ste. 156, Orlando, FL 32837, 71 Commercial St.,Ste 300, Boston, MA 02109. They have asked me to write the check, photocopy it before mailing overnight and giving them the tracking number. The money will be placed in a seperate account.

- David M| 3 repliesThey are now using 18775841167. Melanie Erickson offered me $35500 for a $21000 timeshare. The buyer was "international" so by "law" his money was already in escrow. Closing agent, Sandra Romero, who was very aggressive and wouldn't let me talk (I had to hang up on her even after telling her to let me speak several times.) They sent me a contract to accept the offer and in signing I would agree to a $3000 processing fee kept by them "until property is sold". I asked her, "What if it never sells?" (There are no timelines mentioned) She says, "But the buyer's money is already in escrow so it's as good as sold. There was no way I was going to sign it because they could keep the money forever... She said that I needed to trust people sometimes. I told her we have signed contracts for that purpose. If they already had the buyer's money, all they needed was my signature with no money up front (all money should be paid at closing!). She used the excuse of them having to abide by state law so they had to collect the processing fees before we could go ahead with the transaction. Sandra was correct in that it was not a real estate sale but I would add that the type of transaction is identical. When you experience a pushy sales person, hang up on them. Sandra Romero should try a different type of trade.

- MeliGot a call from a Boston, MA number (857-488-3912) today, spoke with a Helen Cooper, asked me if I still had my timeshare up 4 sale and after I confirmed, she told me that they had a buyer that was willing to pay $27,500 (it cost me $14,000...). She also mentioned that the only upfront fee I would need to pay with the Seller Fee. She transferred me to their "Closing Dept" to get more info regarding the seller fee, but it was busy. Good thing I looked it up on the internet. Do not fall for this... They also use 1-877-584-1167.

It has been since 9-1-09 and we have NOT recieved one returned call, email, fax or letter. HOW CAN WE STOP THIS MADDNESS?

- Barbara B.We were called today by a Ms. Amber Green at a company called Propertys Direct in Boston, MA. Their phone number is 857-488-3912. Amber claimed that they had a buyer for our timeshare, they already had his money and he was paying 23 cents per point. Then she transferred me to Michelle Morgan, in the legal dept. Michelle stated that I need to send a certified check for $3,000.00 to be held in escrow. She stated that the money would be returned to us at the closing, and we would be given a final payment of $35,760.00. When we did the math, the numbers do not make sense. We have 126,000 points and multiplied by 23 cents it does not come out to the number that Michele quoted. Needless to say, we will NOT be sending any miney to this company!!

- relieved that I found this site| 1 replyi was called today stating they had a buyer for my timeshare, well over the purchase price. A completely different person contacted me by the name of Sean. Talked a great game but I decided to research further. BBB reliability report is graded F. BEWARE... do not send any money. Now, instead of asking for processing, they are asking for title search, etc. to be placed in escrow, to be returned upon closing within 2 weeks. Hard to believe and likely a scam.

- Jeff D replies to Barbara B.| 17 repliesPraise GOD I found this information. Mike Moore and Michelle Morgan from Propertys Direct 857-488-3912 Ext. 5001 & 5014 are trying to get me to send them $4000.00 for Title insurance and Escrow costs. They are even sending me to timeshareclosingservices.com to get me to send them money. All they will send me is their advertizing fee paperwork and not any closing cost or fees paperwork. They have funds in a third party trustee ready to buy our timeshare and need a tracking # of the Check with the reference number they gave me. I faxed a copy of the check with the #, but they want the tracking # so they know the check is on the way. My bank is holding the check until we get more information from them. I don't think they are going to sell my timeshare. They have all the information I am willing to give them until they give me more info. They even reduced the fees from $4000.00 to $3000.00 to try to get me to send them $. Always read the fine print back to them and listen to them squirm and double talk their way out of their own fine print.
- Confused| 2 repliesHi all, I recieved a call from this company on Sept.12 of this year. The number in the caller ID was 857-488-3912. Since my husband got sick about a year ago we and our kids are grown we haven't had much use for our timeshare. Anyway, I spoke to a man I believe it was Brent and he asked me if I was interested in selling my timeshare. I said yes and he said they had a buyer and the offer was 26900. I was excited to hear about the offer, but like many of you I was skeptical. He went onto explain more of the details and in the end I went through with sending a certified check for 2500 dollars. For a few weeks I got the run around then about a week before Thanksgiving I recieved my funds of 26900 plus my 2500 back as well. I am sure they made a profit but that is not my concern. All I know is that the company lived up to their end of the bargain and I am glad since my husband recently went back in to the hospital. I would suggest that you keep calling them. Good Luck.
