- mamalady48| 12 repliesSomeone by the name of Brad Tate called from 877 224-5572, ext. 214 claiming to be a Paralegal for National Attorneys. He stated that he has papers on his desk for a litigation against me for a fee of $150.00 plus $1,500. I didn't give him a chance to ask me any questions after he started rattling off fees. I told him not to call me again and hung up. He called my cell 4 times, repeatedly, back to back after I told him not to. Each time he called, I told him not to call me again, but he kept calling and I kept hanging up. On the 5th call, I told him that if I received one more call from him that I would report him to the Better Business Bureau. He didn't call back.

- neighborWell I just got a phone message very similar to marmalady's...
Someone left a message on my home machine claiming to be a Chris Catzwood with National Attorneys. I was instructed to call him back at 877 224-5572, ext. 213 about a "very important pending legal case."
He rattled his message off so fast I could hardly understand it.
Don't take the bait, people.
I can't believe how stupid and devious some hucksters are.
My response was to wipe the message off my machine.
A million thanks to this website for exposing FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD - BrandonThis company called me claiming to represent a credit card company that I defaulted on. They wanted me to pay not only the $300 I owed but $1,500+ for their fee. They also told me they would serve me papers and garnish my wages. Good thing I am self employed;)
She kept saying it is not a collection agency then she tried to collect from me. LOL.
Also, the woman that left me a message said she was from Software Attorneys which didn't make any sense.- Caller: Software Attorneys

- Jermain| 1 replyI got a call from this 1-887-224-5572 number too, some Woman name Page woolfer from Ext-201 said she was with (National Attorneys) she claim to be a paralegal. she noted that she just got done with some paperwork that would be inbound to court on her act, and that she was calling to give me a opertunity to pay off a dept, one that I do acknowledge with a payday loan center here in phoenix, one that I had been paying weekly payments to.
I met a older man in the federal Joint a few years ago who had a collections scam going, or at least it was a ligit company that bent the rules a bit, the way it works is, he would buy overdue accounts from any company that would sell, the company could then close the account. the only way that he cold turn a profit is to get the customer to pay the full amount with some typ of fake tax, like late fee, court fee ext. so some where theres a room full of people with phones that will say anything to get you to pay up.. thats the thing in a nutshell. - Suzanne| 1 replyI too am receiving calls from Paige Woolfer, who claims to be a paralegal with National Attorney Services. She states she is going to garnish my wages for a defaulted payday loan. Don't fall for this - no one can garnish your wages without first getting a court order to do so, except government agencies. When I started questioning her about what the name of the attorney is who is handling this case, where they are located, etc., she quickly advised me she would not tell me and managed to change the subject and get off the phone. This is either a SCAM or a collection agency. I have reported them to the Attorney General's office in my state and the Federal Trade Commission.

- CJ replies to SuzanneI got a call too, little did he know I had background in legal services. The extension I was given was x 202. I called back and left a message and I have not received a response yet.
- ChristianI had gotten a similar call from a Michael West with all the same similar stuff. The catch was that they wanted to speak to "Christian". Here's why it was a catch
1. They called me from my job
2. I'm the only person with a name that's closest to Christian
3. Christian is my nickname. If anyone asks for me by my nickname aside from people I know, I know it's a hack job (I get the same with spam e-mail)- Caller: National Attorneys

- JGot a call from Page Wolfer saying there is a pending case against me and my file showed up on her desk last week. She called me at work and spoke to a co-worker and wanted my co-worker to take her name and number even though she already left a message for me. From the previous emails, I am not going to callback. If there is a pending case against me then they will need to send me something in writing.

- dm| 1 replyGot a call from Chris Cole at National Attorneys ext 213 saying he was trying to reach an employee at my office. He said the word "subpoena" when he spoke with our receptionist and luckily she knew to send the call to me rather than the employee. Chris said he was head of the Legal Department (which made me think he was an attorney - he later admitted to being a paralegal) Chris said that National Attorneys is a national law firm - it is not. Chris said he works at their corporate headquarters in California. I can find no record of this company. He threatened my employee with a lawsuit and wanted to give her a chance to avoid litigation.
Don't fall for this! See the FTC's website for your right to be free from harrassment by debt collectors like National Attorneys. This company is engaging in illegal debt collection practices. Spread the word.- Caller: National Attorneys

- larry2000 replies to Gerry| 1 replyActually National Attorney Services was very helpful. Spoke to a Chris Cole don’t have his ext number but did confirm with the payday loan company they are a legitimate collection agency with a law firm. He was very helpful and understanding had a death in family had to take out a payday loan to make ends meet took responsibility for my actions and he work with me and took payments. Have nothing but good things to say about this company have worked with other agencies and nothing but threats had great luck with National Attorney services. Thank you National Attorney Services. - wondering replies to Martha23| 11 repliesHi,
I got a call from them today too. Is this company legit? Did they really take you to court and garnish your wages? I gave me my card number, stupid really, to pay off the debt and then read all these posts. Is this company really valid that they take people to court? My bill was only $262. Thanks!
