Annoying calls at random times

This is a total scam.  Look up Brennan and Weisman on the web and they use a variety of numbers and fake names to scam you into giving them a credit card to clear a "so-called" debt.

Called my business with recorded message and a case # stating that it was something to do with pre litigation and assets or something. Was an a fairly agressive recorded message

the somehow looked up my landlords name and phone number and have been harassing him looking for me, i may lose my place because of this...my landlord is not happy

This a big freaking scam!!!! They buy up a bunch of old debts even if they've been paid and try and scare you into paying them. Ask them to send you and itemized list of what you owe. Tell them to mail it to you with a physical return mailing address, not a PO Box number.
I had the same thing happen to me and they sent me a letter with a return address to a ups store in Corona Ca, that was like a PO Box.
If you talk to them tell them to do everything they're saying they're going to do because they're full of [***]. I told them where they can find me and they started calling me names cause I called them on their [***].

This is a scare tactic operation-----the name "Brennan and Weisman" is used to make you think it is an attorney......they are NOT.  It is a collection agency, with harrassment tactics to bully you in to paying money to them.  I have received threatening phone calls from them at home, on my cell, and at my 83 yr old father's residence(where I have not lived for 30+ years!).  Litigation my a**!  They work on commission for the amount they collect, and are ruthless at trying to collect that money. Strange that I have never received anything in the mail from them, just threatening calls??  I will not arrange to pay anything through this shady business!!

this nbr calls my UNLISTED cell nbr. It makes it sound like a legal manner. It gives a reference nbr, it's a computer talking when I answered. It throws in words like 'free legal advice, this is a time sensitve matter'. It does NOT state my name though.

They just called me and asked for a man named Jason, I called back and got my name off the list... I hope! Thank you guys so much for posting on here so that I can be able to know its a scam.!

This "company" has called numerous times. They leave messages about pre-litigation and stuff, and say that it has to do with my parents' old neighbor....
We have attempted to call them back, but have been unable to reach them at the number they leave on messages.
After reading these posts, I was able to tell my parents what was going on, so thank you to everyone who posted.

They called and I spoke to a Thomas Barnes claiming that the county I live in is going to make me go to court because of my unpaid debt. They also told me that i had till the end of this month to settle my debt. Check your credit reports everybody, make sure you know what companies have your correct debt! Total scam!!'

I keep getting automated messages on my cell phone from 877-225-8963.  When I called them back to ask for the messages and calls to stop, I got an answering machine.  If these continue, I said I would report them to the New York State Aatorney General for Consumer Fraud.  My phone number is on the Federal Do Not Call List.

i have been getting a number of call's from these people and now that i have seen all these posts i'll certanly ignor them!! thank you

My parents who are their 80's  have been getting calls from this number. They are asked to go to another person in the neighborhood and give them the message. What's really making my parents mad is that the other person's son lives next door.

Have your parents tell these highly regarded people that they would be more than happy to relay a message for them. That their going rate is $120.00 USD per hour. 2 Hour minimum, payable in advance by Western Union only. No exceptions.
I mean, really? Why should they do some frauds legwork for them?
Seriously, your folks are a third party. Have them tell the callers to stop calling them. Their failure to do so is a violation of federal law. Not that they'll stop. They're frauds. Criminals aren't easily led onto the path of righteousness.
Tell your parents to record their calls. Have them inform these miscreants that they're doing so. Poof! The calls will cease faster than a mild case of flatulence disperses in a stiff wind. Hopefully...

They dont send you the information that you request and then when you call they dont return you messages I paid them one payment of $50 dollars  and they have not sent me any information about this old debt!
