EOCCA called asking for my dad. They could not even pronounce his name. They said it was for a very important business matter. When they asked if we were at such and such address I told them that was a personal address not business. Then the lady asked me to have him call back and gave me an extention number. (Which I didn't write down)  I asked if it was a solicitation call or an actual business matter she said neither. So I said, sorry he doesn't call people back who can't leave an exact reason for calling in the first place. Bye!
I called the number and it said thankyou for calling EOCCA. that's when I looked up the company online.

I received a missed call on my home phone.  When I called back it was from a wage garnishing firm. Of course no one answered, got a message.   I do not owe any money.  Sooo sick of these calls....

It is a collection and garnishment agency for the department of education. If they are calling you they can and will garnish your income taxes unless you arrange a payment plan with them. Catch is you must pay for 9 months before they take your account t out of default so they won't garnish your income tax. They will and can harasse you. I made a 10 dollar a month plan and they left me alone and my credit score actually started to sky rocket. Unfortionately they are not a well put together company and stopped my automatic payments which cause them to then again garnish mine and my husband's income taxs. We are getting his returned and me back on a payment plan but they can't tell me why the payments stopped and I have to wait 8 weeks for my husband's return... A lot of pain from this dumb company. The best thing is to make an arrangement it works out for both of you. It's like paying to increase your credit score and get your student loan out of your hair.

Good for you!  That's exactly how these calls should be handled, whether at home or at work.  Am amazed at the sudden appearance of these calls at my place of business, whether these idiots have the right person or not.

No, they don't.  Am amazed by the amount of debt collectors who've contacted my place of business in the last few months, whether they have the right victim or not.

Received two inquiries this morning from a woman at this number and also 973-753-5100 (Pressler & Pressler -- see their 800notes page).  Both times, she asked for Human Resources concerning wage garnishment.  Could've sworn it was the same person; sounded annoyed on the second go-round.

I just received a voicemail from this number who stated they needed me to call them back, as they are going to be garnishing one of my employees wages.  We have no employees . . . .
