Yeah. They tried to scam me about 6 months ago. I have never had any form of business relationship with BMG. The one thing that was funny is that eveyone that got the call, somehow all had the same 'case number'. There is more info out there.

I have been getting calls from TAKHAR  collection agency trying to say that I ordered books from the Doubleday book club and want me to pay them $88.18.  I didn't even order books from Doubleday. And never received books from them either.

Unwanted calls at any time from this group, they just say its an Urgent Call and urgent matter to call back to this number 866-408-8299; by reading this site looks like a scam with some collection agency.

I got a call today from someone connected to this agency and wow I thought he was trying to sell me 7/eleven. He would not tell me any info cause I pretended to be someone related to me, however when I returned the call at a later time I got nothing but an answering machine, I left a message stating I would call them back at the same time and if they wanted to talk to me then they needed to have someone to answer the phone or else I would consider this company to be fake.  Funny thing is, the guy ststed his name was Howard Ball., I knew that was fake.

I received a call from TAKHAR - Mathew Jackson AT 1-866-408-8299 -  I was NOT the person they called for , They were calling for my 75 year old mother.  The person was beyond aggresive to me on the phone. Beligerent , Threating, Hostile.  And I repeat - I was NOT the person they wanted to talk to,

    I got this information  from calling back and asking for a supervisor.  They claim they are
a member of the BBB in New York.
     I am writing a formal complain agains the person who called,  I'm also lodging a complain with
the BBB.............   There has to be some place else to report this type of phone calls to........
    I urge everyone even if the call is for you,  to lodge a complaint -  The tactics of this company
are horrid.

I had a phone call from 18772273390 and they also made it sound like it would be life or death if I did not get them called back and I also got a answering machine each time I left a message and they also never got back to me.

They also took 53.04 out of my moms checking account.

same senaro with them calling for the wrong number and harassing me. I called Fedral trade commission who said that they are looking into it and would be have it investigated. i told them of the complaints i seen online, and told them they could check it out themselfs. I also called the better business burero but not luck n talking to someone so i filed a complaint online. they are very rude, demanding, and persistant and dont give a care. They calling my cell phone and leaving harassin messages. will they do anyting about this company i dont know but if you go to the BBB site and look em up you will find this company. they have a rating of F and it shows how many complaints and what they were for, it also shows how many cases have been solved. I also called the sec state of NY and they tell me that its not listed and they dont know or heard that comapany. On the Takhar group website they have no address or etc.. So, on BBB it shows that there is 3 addresss for this company. Niagara falls NY, Cambridge ON and Rochester NY. it also says about complaints  5 no response, 151 resolved 28 unresoved. BBB says they dont have clear understanding of this business, 32 serious complaints,28 were unresolved, 184 complants filed against business. They tell me they are not involved in any of the companys phone calls or transactions. they have a rating of an F becouse of the complants.

Hope this helps. Keep filing complaints with the fedreal trade commission and BBB and file with the state of New York. Look the numbers on the net. call and complain. i guess we gonna have to keep it up until somehing is done.
Also the fedral trade commison told me that i need to write the company a letter telling them to stop. then call the federal trade commsion and tell them. Then if it continues to call Fedral trade commsion. also you can go to www.donotcall.gov and get on the do not call list. me? i doing all above, and also gonna change my number.

FYI. 1623 Military Rd is a UPS Store with mailboxes. Unit 537 is a small mailbox.
