- candice| 1 replythis gut named robert green has called me twice looking for my sister in law. he says he doesn't know what the issues is. he give me a number to call 877-227-3972 and a case number. he says that he is just the person who serves papers and needed her address. i asked why he was serving papers instead of a sherriff, he said he was licensed, but wouldn't they have her address? when my sister in law calls they say it is from a pay day loan, but says it was done online. i told her not to give him ANY personal info over the phone. i have been scamed by other people before and don't want it to happen to her. if it is a true debt they should have no problem sending a true bill whether mailed or faxed. please be careful, there are jerks out there that don't know how to get a real job!

- georgie replies to candiceomg i just got a call from a john brown today did not say wat it was except he was hired to find me and he could not give me any info, he was just trying to serve papers, and told me i had till 4 pm today, He called me at threethirty somthing he gave a half hour from the first phone call i hv ever gotton and said they would file a warrant against me if i did not call the 877-277-3972 how can they give u a half hour to settle watever it is
it dont make any sence. I even went as far as calling the police department and DA to find out if there were any charges aganist me they all said no. will they really file a warrant that quick? You would think that if they wanted money from you they would not be trying to take you to jail were u make no money. - BearThese [***] are impersonating police officers. Collections are only civil. I am looking into where to report them as they continue to call me despite the fact I've informed them the person they are looking for does not reside with me.
This guy said he was Frank Lucas, and clearly spoke with a negro dialect, as Harry Reid from Nevada would say.- Caller: Nationwide

- Tigger| 1 replyI just received a phone call from Nationwide saying I owed money for a payday loan that I took out in 2007. They had my old maiden name and my old address I used to live at and somehow managed to get in touch with my husbands ex-mother in law that her and I have no status or connection whatsoever. They had my deceased grandmothers name which she passed in 2005. They told me they would serve me papers. I contacted my bank to verify if the account number they had was accurate for my bank and they said no, there was never a bank account ending in those numbers. So they told me to report them to the FTC for identify theft which is what I am going to do. They are scammers, this is not the first time this has happened to me. Unfortunately I did not catch the mistake and gave them my current address and phone number so that was on me. Dont fall for it, report it.
