I recieved a check in the mail for home improvments and was instructed to cash it and then send 3000.00 by western union to pay for the Foreign Access Taxes (F.A.T) at wich point they (Allied Group,Inc.) would in turn send me a check via courier delivery in 3 to 5 business days for 36144.45 to use for home repairs. I went to my bank and got there help investigating this check and the phone number for the bank on the check is fake...the real National City Bank of Ashland, Ohio number is 1-800-738-3888. The people there will verify the funds in the account and the funds WILL NOT be there! The name on the check is SUMMIT BRANDS formerly Iron Out,Inc. this company is legit, however they are NOT part of the scam and if you call them at 1-888-476-6688 they will add you to the case they have against this scam.

The new name of this group is HOMELIFE GROUP, Inc. These people did the same thing to me. Same # is on the check. 877-227-4759. You can call it as many times as you want. But you will never talk to a real person. They told me to put the money in bank, send them $3000 and they will send me the remaining $. The company will tell you over and over, that it is real.

I just got one from Meridian Group, Inc. regarding the same thing of home improvements.  They are FAKE, they need to be stopped!!!

I am going to call the number above to add my name to the list, however, mine was from a different company with the same telephone number.  I looked up the telephone number on the letterhead and it is from Ontario, CAN.  They also may go by MGI from Brooklyn, NY, this is not a legit company.

My fiance just received a check a few days ago stating the same things with a number 1 289 892 3956 saying to ask for Jennifer Roberts or Frank Campbell.  The company on the letter is Falcon Group, In FGI their head quarters address is P.O. Box 1500 Brooklyn Ny 11216.  This is sad people will take advantage like this. They must be stopped.

...And now the same letter dated May 1, 2009 to my naive young daughter from Universal Group Inc. (1-289-892-2526) drawn against Citizens Bank (1-877-227-4759).  Morons.

received check from  "Buffalo Launch Club", but letter from Quantum Trust inc. for $4450.24 and promising more money once we send money.  another scam.  Numbers on letter: 289-892-3956 in Brooklyn, NY.

I received a letter from the ,"National-Home Trust, Inc. with the same deal. Deposit the check, send them a distibution fee and processing fee and they will send the balance of money to my bank account. The person I spoke to at this place had an African accent and he gave me a number (1877-227-4759) to verify the check. Also, the number for national Home Trust,Inc, is (1289-892-2526). Though the check appears real, its not as I've been told. It appears to be a scam..maybe to get your routing numbers or bank information. can anyone add to this?

I received a check for $3,547.00 ( US Bank National Association) From Freedom Homes INC.P.O.Box 5432,AURORA,CO80014. Ph # 289-892-3956,cell phone registered in Pickering,ON,Canada. The letterhead said FREEDOM FINANCIAL INC. IT'S A SCAM ! These people need to be rounded up

Father received letter from Lakeview Financial Inc address in Brooklyn NY....phone number is out of Canada!  I have reported this to the Texas Attorney Generals office, and sent in all correspondence to said office.  I hate these [***] scumbags preying on senior citizens!

my letter came from Lakeview Research Group with a check1993.00.  I was to become a mystery shopper.  It seemed strange to me when I called and spoke to a man who spoke fast and then hung up on me.  I was told to send some of this money to London and then evaluate Western Union.  Way to go to be true, I couldn't find a website for the company, which seemed odd and then did a search on the telephone number and Whaa Laaa- on another page I was told the check would not clear.  Here I see that it has been going on for years.  Tearing up the check!

Their new scam is Accurate Marketing REsearch with the telephone number 1-289=892-2526 they want to evaluate or something what they realy want is money
