I had the same experience with this phone number.  But they didn't call me,,,they called my ex husbands house.  (We have been divorced for nearly 20 years and have never shared a phone number).  My daughter texted me that I had a message to call 877-227-6701 and use a document deliver code that they provided in their message.  I called the number.  The man who answered the phone simply answered "Switchboard".  I asked him what the message was about.  He said "What is your first and last name"?  I only gave him the last name and he said "Ah, yes, I need to transfer you upstairs to Adam Wolf".  I said "Who is Adam Wolf"?  He replied "I don't know, I just run the switchboard".  I said "What city are you in"?  He SHOUTED "I'M IN CALIFORNIA.....OH MY GOD"!!!  So I said "OH MY GOD"!!!  and hung up the phone.

One of the tricks they use is to call your family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money.  They often call people that have never even been associated with you because they get erroneous information off of the internet.

‭(877) 408-3260‬  I got a call looking for my brother from Mike Riley. The call was to my cell and had no caller ID. I immediately knew it was a scam so I played him Mary had a little lamb on my phone. Here is how to do it. 6545666555666 6545666655654. This must have made him nuts because he called right back and left a messsage saying to call the 877 number above.

I laughed my ass off. I think everyone needs to learn the Mary had a little lamb phone trick.

FYI he also called my mother by brother and a cousin.

It’s pitiful that the government doesn’t do more to criminalize these types of behavior and robocalling. Let’s put the guys in jail and make them work road cleanup or some other physical but productive public service
