    Some one called representing themselves as an agent of a bank.
    They indicated there was a problem with my bank ATM card and asked
    for the card number.

    The Caller Company contained the word Southern in the name.

    It was a text message and it read:

    the number it came from is 1010100003

    FRM:service@fmb.com
    MSG:Farmers and Merchants Notice.Unauthorized activity.Call now at 1-(877)240-6149

    I received it today, Sunday, July 5th at 10:52am
    I called At&t to report it and the customer service lady said it was the first time she heard of it.

    Not a dummy
    also received a text message from the same source (my text came from 1010100001). I called the number just to mess with them. I entered a very very old card number from 10 years ago (I have a weird memory) and it also asked for an expiration date and a pin number (LOL - people actually fall for this?) My info was all made up so I won't suffer but some dummy will do this for real. Your bank DOES NOT ask for your pin...ever.
