He says he's with Windows Security and my security could be breached.  There wasn't the usual background noise of a boiler room.

It's the same robo voice that called telling us the IRS is after us & if we didn't want to get arrested, we should call them.  This time it's Windows Security.  Nice try.  the shame is that she might find someone who believes what she says.   Get a real job!

Robo-call says the computer license is expired, and I should call some 866 number to resolve the issue. I have four computers. The call did not mention which one is expired. I mean, if they know a license is expired, they should know which one. Right?

I believe I'll just continue as I have been doing.

No, Microsoft would not call. There is no application in Windows that can detect a security breach and report it to Microsoft in a way that would allow them to identify an individual computer and then associate a phone number with that computer.  Also, on Microsoft's website are statements that they never initiate service calls to consumers nor do they contract with third parties to do so for them.  All such calls are scams as are the pop-ups that tell you to call number because of a security issue.  Never, ever allow anyone to connect remotely to your computer as a result of these calls or pop-ups.

Unfamiliar number. Even supposedly toll free numbers are scams anymore, so I don’t answer unless the leave a credible message. This one didn’t. My caller ID generally pinpoints locations, if not the name of who’s calling; the fact that it was identified as “unknown” was very suspicious! From the info above, sounds like a scam, so blocking.
