called us and ask for the owner.I ask for him to leave a massage but he didnt. he said he will call back. Who the hell is this Guy?

The caller asked for my boss, I told him he was out for the day, the called then replied with "Damn him" and hung up.

Guy called on my cell phone and asked Said he wanted to give me a special offer but wanted to tell me a joke first.  I bit.  He proceeded to tell be a very inappropriate joke, and I hung up. Can some one find these guys and teach them a lesson of ethics?

Just called my shop, nobody on the line and then hung up.  I will be watching for this number and will no longer take calls from whoever it is.

The person using 1-877-241-1442 is abusing the phone system.
A Phone should not be able to call out unless it is calling from a valid and active number.
I think the person using this number should not be allowed to make calls from it.

Has called my place of business twice today.  Asked for my husband by name.  The second time he called he hung up on me.  Who is he and what does he want?

This sounds like one of the companies I get calls from every now and then.  If it is, then they sell promotional items (pens, address books, calendars, etc.) with your company's logo, address, etc. on them that you can give to your clients.  The guy who calls me, has never acted like the lunatic that some of the other people posting here have experienced--he sounds friendly enough, and wants to tell a dumb joke as an icebreaker, after which he tells me what he's calling about, at which point I tell him I'm not interested.  Sometimes he doesn't give up, and I have to hang up, but he doesn't seem to hold that against me next time he calls.  He calls back a month or two later, sometimes longer, sometimes sooner, and we go through the same routine.  If I don't pick up the phone when he calls on a given day, he calls back the next day, until he gives up for a while.  I've decided not to even pick up the phone when caller ID shows it's an 877 toll-free area code, since the only calls I've gotten from that area code have been people trying to sell me something, or ATT reminding me my phone bill needs to be paid, which is something I already know.

Judging by other people's experience here, whoever it is that's been calling them from this number, sounds like he's on drugs, or has a business that's not making enough money for him, and so he's desperate, or both.  He also seems to be modeling his behavior on some of the movies and TV shows that came out a few years ago, about prank callers, and he thinks it's funny since he has the "protection" of being on the phone, far away from you.

Guy called and asked for owner, i said this is his wife, what can I do for you? He then said, well that son of a flumblebee, does he think he owns the place, and then hung up! How strange.

Fred - you are right on with this called...I get the same.  However when I asked to be removed from his database, he transfers me to their do not call department, where someone as for my CC # to change me 9.99 to remove me...

It's easier to just not answer calls with no ID or from 877 #'s.

you could call your telephone provider and get them to contact this phone number on your behalf and arrange a Do Not Call

They wanted $9.99 via a credit card to remove you from their call list?  I could be wrong, but that might be another thing that someone could bring against them in a criminal or civil proceeding.

I just got another call a few minutes ago from these psychotics.  I didn't answer.

I continue to get calls from this number almost daily on my work cell phone.  I googled the number and found this thread.

Guy named Jeremy called, questioned me about our business ownership, made an offer for a product, when I refused he called me a "cheap son of a [***]" and hung up. What a jerk. Intend on calling AT&T to report.

Keeps calling so I added number to my phone and added name too it ,(dont answer). Tried too look it up on reverse phone search ,nothing comes up.

We get several calls a day form this number, either claiming to be "Summit Lending" or "Quality Imaging" or some other made-up name.

I ask to be taken off their list, they hang up and call back 20 minutes later.

DAMN - they just called back AGAIn while I was typing this up asked if I was the owner and hung up.

Call just came in here @ work. Said some imaging company and his name was Jeremy. Said I asked him to call back when he had a "pen" offer. Said I wasn't interested as I hung the phone up. He tried to be overly casual with a 'country' approach in his speech. Too friendly for an unknown caller.

I work for my dads company, someone from 1-877-241-1442 (a guy) asked for my dad by name as he was giggleing, as I work for a company all unknown #'s we ask who it is other wise whats the point of caller ID but it was a 877 # i assumed was BUSINESS related, i told him he wasnt here and he said laughingly....obviously and hung up, i tried to call back to give them a what for and it kept telling me the # could not be completed as dialed, like its difficult to call a # when you hit the last call button on a phone....it really irks me, and since we have no way of finding out who it is....to stop it, they keep calling back.

Called the number back and got a IXC provider recording for unassigned code.

Received a call around noon at our business.  When I answered by stating our business name the man who called let out a disgusted sigh then asked for the owner.  I asked who who he was calling from he said, "The FBI" I asked again who he was calling from he said very rudely. "Did you not understand me!?" and then hung up.

I feel sorry for these people who obviously have nothing meaningful in their lives that they have to spend their days wasting other people's time.

caller called asked to speak to the owner, i told him that she was not available and what the call was regarding. He cursed and was so rude...i couldn't even speak. its one of those things where you wish you could be morphed right in front of them...the damage i could cause. it was absolutely ridiculous and if it doesn't stop I will take action like no other before. this is a business...a charitable one at that. Something has got to give!!!!!
