so what about "this is bs" post? if this is a scam, what his post about?

I do agree, that happen kinda fast for him. Normally they will call forever and harass you. It would be interesting to know if the summons he was served is a real summons or just another collection agency form of some type.

Well, I'm talking about you of course. Are you implying that I'm taking your post incorrectly? If so, I apologize. Do I need to do so? I doubt it.

true, I am just trying to get some information. Cause they knew my ss# and the old debit they told me of, is a true debit I owe. I just don't have the money to pay it and its been almost 5 years ago, it already on my credit.

The balance on my account is just over 2200 and I live in CA. I did research on the statute and I fall way short of that. The form says I will have to pay court cost and attorney fees in the amount of 892. This also says I have to file an answer within 20 days. What does "answer" mean? They can have back this stupid flat screen. I dont even like it anymore Its out dated lol.

    1. You could contact the company you originally owed and see what they did with it.
    2. What is the statute of limitations in your state?
    3. There are ways to find social security numbers, etc. rather easily.
    4. If really in doubt, there are pro bono attorneys to ask for assistance.

YOU CAN NOT go to jail for a civil debt.
    Good luck!

Last question - was the FORM mailed or delivered by a different means?  The only "legal" form of notification is be mail or designated courier.

Again - if in doubt, contact an attorney.
