They call every day but I don't answer.  I called them right back today after they called and they asked for my daughter by name.  I told them this was not her phone.  They then asked for my wife by name.  I again told them this was not her phone either.  They asked for my daughter's date of birth and I refused to give it to them.  They asked if I would give them the year if they gave me the month and day.  I told them sure.  They had the correct month and date.  I told them thanks and they said, "you told me you would give me the year."  I told them yes I did, but I'm not going to.  They got more ignorant and said they didn't need me anyways because my daughter is not a minor and they can deal directly with her so please give her their number so she can call.  Yeah, I'll jump right on that.  She just turned 18 around a month ago.  I have the capability to run her credit through work and her reports are blank as I would have expected them to be.  Block them from calling or if you are bored, do what others have said and call them then hang up.

This is a phone number for Mercy Hospital debt.  I know, because I have debt from the hospital, and that's the number they call from to discuss my account with me.

This is a phone number used by Mercy Hospital; at least, for me, at this point in time, that is who is identified on my phone when 1-877-250-6272 calls.  I do have a debt with the hospital, and so I do know this is their number.

...scammers are known to spoof legitimate numbers.  Many of the posts here suggest either a debt scammer or federal law-violating debt collector.

Because of preexisting conditions, I couldn't buy health insurance for 19 years. I doctored us with animal drugs from the local Farmers Co-op. When I could finally purchase health insurance because of the ACA, I had several health problems I inherited, didn't cause due to drinking or drugging or being overweight. So of course, I have medical debt from complications of type 2 diabetes, 2 artery bypasses in my right leg, cataract surgery & a burst appendix. Being unable to work due to my poor health & age, there's no way I can pay the extra bills that my ACA Blue Cross won't pay. Millions of Americans are in my position with no way out. Living on 1 income we are bearly able to pay our monthly insurance premiums & co-pays with nothing left over to pay the hidden bills no one tells us about that come in the mail after every procedure. Medical care is the only thing we buy without knowing the real price we'll wind up paying later on. I know very well that I'll die with medical debt.  And if Obamacare is taken away, without the ability to purchase insulin I'll be dead in a few months It's insanity!

Called and said they were Recivable Solutions , Inc and to call a number they rattled off back. Then hung up. It was a robo call. Couldn't talk to anyone with it being computer generated. Then I got a letter in the mail saying they were a collection services for an outstanding bill. They had the number as 877-250-6272 to call. So I called it and some lady answered "hello" not a professional person answereing an office phone. So I said, "Hello" she stated my name and wanted me to verify information. I told them I wasn't giving them any information and I would be contacting my insurance company to find out if this was legitimate since I have never gotten any bills from any  of my doctors. The lasy just stammered. But..but..but... I just hung up on her.

They keep calling me over a bill that I have already paid.  I spoke with them and the hospital on a three way call a couple weeks ago and the hospital told them the bill had already been paid.  I just received another call from them about the bill that is paid in full.
