Said they were with texas workforce commission

Missed call but if Jill's report of the call being from TWC, then it could be legit?  Depends on if Jill is getting unemployment or not.  I am getting Texas unemployment however, I think 9 times out of 10, I get a correspondence via mail or in my TWC portal and have not gotten anything so I'd be skeptical.

Someone called claiming to be with TWC. Left a msg.. My phone read potential scam. I agree with Paul.

Female claimed they were with TWC. Didn't use my full name or verify who they were talking with but made sure to tell me the call was being recorded. Yeah ok! lol

Google search shows number to be thecallcenter.com a telemarketing group- not TWC it’s a scam, TWC also has a warning on their website about scam calls during COVID

Called me twice today right after I submitted my unemployment payment request. Left a voicemail about registering for work in texas.com. I am signed up for electronic correspondence and have never received a call from TWC. Especially now, as they are extremely busy and rely on you calling if there’s an issue. Seems like a scam, but I’m not sure as I wouldn’t answer to talk to the person calling.

Caller ID said "TX Workforce Cm" which looked dubious.  SCAM.

The girl said the were calling from twc and call is recorded. She wanted to make me aware of all the resources available in texas. I said i was not on unemployment and she mumbled something and hung up. I called the number back. Machine said it was twc and hold for next available operator. Another lady picked up said call was recorded. Told her about previous call. Told her they are sketchy to ask for me by my first name. Also asked where she was and she said austin. So idk. They knew my name. But i do not receive benefits. I still blocked the number. I hate i get dumb calls everyday from scammers and politicians wanting something.

Just went ahead and did a deep research on this number, (i work for TWC) and this number is not unemployment, but it is from TWC, under a branch called "support for workintexas.com", so they are legit and have access to personal info like social security and address, but they cant help with claims, they are only for help desk with the website: www.workintexas.com

This number is a scam!

SCAM. Voicemail says they were for Workforce Unemployment Office.  I called the legit phone number for unemployment office and they said it was a SCAM call, it was not them.

Just got a call.  Said "Hello" heard a dog barking in the background and it took a long time for a lady to answer.  Decided to hang up before she could speak.
