Call about someone I have never heard of. Blocked their number. I'm certainly not calling them back. Here is the text of the voicemail they left.

"This message is regarding our location and tracing efforts for _Name Omitted_. It is important that we speak with you in regards to their whereabouts if we cannot verify this information through you the law allows us to contact all references on file. Dial Zero now to speak with a representative or call 877-254-9529 if you are unable to provide any information. Please contact us regardless at 877-254-9529. Thank you."

I got the same call and same message as Bob reported above. Some kind of scam or collection agency. Of course, I won't call back.

Its a scam... received the same message as Bob. The company calling identifies themselves as FMR. I was advised by the attorney generals office in my state to call the FTC and report the number or numbers. The number to the FTC is 1-877-382-4357. Additionally, these scammers also call from number 1-877-249-3442. Hope this helps...

These people have suddenly started calling every single person I know in an attempt to "locate" me. I've had the same phone number for 10 years and my phone didn't ring. Then when it did I told the guy he had wrong information which he verified was correct and told me he'd take me out of their system. Not even an hour later they were back at calling everyone I know again in an attempt to locate me!!!! WTH???

Also call from 877-265-9486. Got a call from them again today. Yesterday was 877-254-9529

Received the same call as above. They are now harrassing my family members. Do not answer or call.

The same number called!! I let her have it!!

Same call as reported above. They call repeatedly. I called my carrier and changed my cell phone number. They did it for free since I was being harassed.

Eventually, after getting many scam calls, some people think their only recourse is getting a new number.  That is not true.  The "new number" is probably somebody else's "old number", and will come accompanied with its own baggage (and calls).

Rather than change your phone number, try a call blocker!
